I bought these Govee LED strip lights to add some color to a room, and they’re brighter and easier to use than I expected. The adhesive backing sticks firmly and hasn’t peeled, even on textured walls. Setup took just a few minutes, and the app connects instantly—no lag or disconnecting like some cheaper brands. The color options are vibrant, the transitions are smooth, and the preset scenes look great. I also like that you can adjust brightness very precisely. For the price, these lights are reliable, easy to control, and make a big impact. I’d definitely buy them again.

The light on this strip is really bright, which is awesome when you need full illumination. The strip itself is also surprisingly long, which is a big plus and gives you a lot of flexibility on where to place it. The only reason I’m giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is because the dimming doesn’t go as low as I’d like. Even at the lowest setting, it’s still pretty bright. Sometimes you just want a very soft, super low glow, and this doesn’t quite get there. Overall though, great quality and a solid purchase!

So far so good. These things seem pretty great. Easy to install, and can get quite bright. As others have said, the light isn't very warm. One thing you can't tell from the picture is that the provided cord is pretty long. Edit - reduced by one star as the third unit I purchased had clearly been installed before. It was missing the backing tape on the adhesive strip, and the adhesive had pieces of drywall or stucco on it.

exactly what I needed. I needed some contrast / alternate lighting to the glaring and sterile overhead kitchen light to illuminate appliances. The warmth of these lights create a really comforting, and cozy vibe. Also...I wanted to not have to use the RGB lights because I sort of have OCD and get analysis paralysis over which light setting to use between red/green/blue. Having one color simplifies it for me - as tismal as it sounds Comes with an adhesive control thing on the side that lets you turn on/off the lights easily
