The Original Moj Moj Squishy Toys Claw Machine Playset

This toy is amazing. If you are considering buying this toy, then you probably should. The one thing you should think about is the age of the person you are buying it for. I would not get this toy for any kid under the age of seven. If you are going to buy this for someone in your own house, you must be willing to listen to loud circus music being played over and over. It is a little challenging to pick the toys up with the claw, but that is what makes it fun. Do not give this toy to someone who will get frustrated easily. The Moj moj toys are inside of the eggs. it is much easier to pick up the toys while they are still inside of the eggs.The Moj moj inside are squishy and cute, but they smell like cheap plastic. The claw functions very well, but it moves slowly. Overall, this claw machine functions well and is a lot of fun to play with.

I was very skeptical on the quality that this claw machine may be and I have to say I’m pleasantly surprised! It’s great quality and has been played for hours by littles ones and still working properly! Picks up the squishies but we can’t seem to clasp on an egg to save our lives haha. So we remove the squishy prizes and put them in the machine that way. Still a nice a surprise as to which one your catch in the claw. If you’re on the fence about quality, no fear, this is a great toy that will last for hours and years of fun.

Works just fine. Lifts up the eggs without a problem. Can also just put the toys in without the egg. Catches a prize 9/10 times. Doesn't work exactly like a real claw machine, you lift the claw up and down with a lever instead of pressing a button. Music is a bit loud and no option to turn it off. Would be nice if you pressed a button to start it rather than dropping a plastic coin in that you have to empty later. It's a bit pricey for what it is, but what isn't anymore. All in all it's fine, my child loves it. Not sure why there's so many negative reviews about how weak and inaccurate the claw is, because ours is fine.

We bought this as a gift for a 6-year-old who absolutely loved it. She sat at a table playing until she successfully retrieved every egg, then she had fun putting them all back in and doing it again, even though she had already retrieved the prizes. I know Moj Moj sells more eggs with more prizes, but I see this having great replayability even without buying the extras -- you can easily add anything you want in the eggs and create a new surprise for the kid playing with this. Pennies? M&Ms? Whatever you normally put in Easter eggs, fill them up and surprise the player. With that all said, the music that plays while the machine is running is LOUD AND ANNOYING. I tried to sleep in while my niece was playing with this at 7 in the morning, and every time I almost fell back asleep, that little circus tune started up again and would wake me up. I was happy when she brought it home so that I didn't have to keep it in my house and hear that music over and over again anymore! Parents are going to want to find a way to disable that tune...though it's the only way the player knows how much time they have before their chance is over.

My kid loved this gift but the music got really old, really quick. In addition, the claw only reaches toward the center of the case, and you have to giggle it to move them into a better spot. My kid loved this product for all of 1 week.

I have a 9 year old daughter who got this for Christmas from Santa. She loves it and uses it for a little bit every day. The initial excitement of seeing which Moj Moj she got is done, but she still loves the skill aspect of the toy. We did add a few extra eggs with other Moj Moj in them and I have to say that once the device is crowded with more eggs, it makes catching them in the claw much more challenging. However, as long as the claw is around an egg, it is definitely strong enough to pick them up (if the egg isn't balanced well in the claw though, it will fall out, but that's not an issue of the strength of the claw mechanism). The claw is moved up and down (and open/shut) with a thin chain. I am hoping that it doesn't break because it seems thin. That's the only thing I see that could potentially cause an issue, but so far, it is working very well. And yes, the Moj Moj decals on the toy are stickers, but that's really not unusual.

This is a huge piece of junk. Bought for a 5th birthday gift. First I'll address the general poor design of it. There's an open hole in the back for the sake of putting the prizes inside. Ideally there'd be a plug for it, because the amount of times you need to upturn this thing to empty the coin collections bin is insane (for reasons I'll discuss in a moment), and tilting it over makes at least a couple prizes fall back out every time. The other construction issue is with the coin slot. Seriously, this thing should not be turned on by coins. That was a terrible decision all around. The coins are stored underneath the machine, so you have to turn the thing over every time to refill your coin stash. And that stash depletes quickly because IT DOES NOT RECOGNIZE THE COIN 80% OF THE TIME. so to get it started, my niece went through anywhere between 1-5 coins every time. There's no reason for that. Initially I thought it was broken because it took even adults inserting probably about 12 coins until one worked to start it (on brand new batteries). Next, the actual construction. The claw is very weak, and has trouble even lifting the provided eggs. I don't know what else you could fill this with that it might lift. You can only have about 5 small (egg sized) items in at once to possibly lift anything. But 4 is more reasonable. If there were a fourth, open and close lever, it wouldn't be a problem if you stacked today's inside. But because it only opens when it's been lowered so many inches, if somethings too tall in there, it won't even open. I would not purchase this claw machine again. I'd explore other options.

I don’t understand the reviews saying the claw doesn’t work. All four of my kids, ages 4, 6, 12 and 15 have no problem getting the claw to work to pick up the eggs and get them out of the machine. It’s not SUPPOSED to be easy, that defeats the purpose of the machine. This was one is the biggest hits of Christmas. Santa brought it for my 6 year old girl and they literally all fight over it. Other than the slightly annoying carnival music it buys me hours of quiet.
