Not for all Optiplex 755, there are different versions of computers with the same name
I didn't understand that this would not work in the full-size desktop because Dell stupidly uses the same name for desktops of different sizes. I have been trying to find a DVI solution to connect to my television for a while and I am starting to get frustrated. Fortunately, I was mad enough that I decided to just bend the metal bracket backwards so that the card would fit and cross my fingers that it would work. It did. Do they not sell a full size desktop version? I can't seem to find it on Amazon.

Great Graphics ADAPTER (not Graphics Card) So Read This Review For The Good and Bad
OK, folks, let me clear this up a bit, this is NOT a "graphics card" it is a graphics adapter. What is the difference? This has little in the way of graphic circuitry and no memory to speak of, it uses the existing graphics circuitry on your motherboard to enhance and produce a higher quality output into a DVI connector. Before you think this is lame it is GREAT because almost any modern monitor uses DVI and not the old VGA that is used by that monitor you found at the yard sale or thrift store.I had bought a used small computer from Amazonย 2016 Dell Optiplex 380 Ultra Small Form Factor High Performance Desktop Computer (Intel Dual Core Processor 2.93GHz, 4GB RAM, 250GB HDD, DVD, Windows Pro 32bit) (Certified Refurbished) ย to use for running some weather programs and Caller ID but it only had VGA output and my monitor only has DVI connectors so here is where this board is wonderful, it gave me the needed DVI output and several more choices of screen resolution than the VGA output was capable of producing on its own. The other point is that I COULD have gotten a low profile card for this small machine BUT remember, those high end cards use a LOT more power and these low end computers do not have the power supply to handle it so this item excels here also since it uses almost nothing in the way of power consumption.NOTE/WARNING!!! : When I plugged this card in the video came up looked good but then died as soon as it booted into Windows 10, lucky for me I had seen a similar problem on Dell machines before and it just requires you to go out to Dell and download the latest BIOS/Firmware upgrade file, click on it, let it install and everything will work perfectlyBottom Line: It is a great adapter for your VGA only, low power computer, it is NOT a high end graphics card for $10 or less, I am guessing that most of the "it did not work" reviews here have more to do with the lack of upgraded BIOS or something similar than actual performance of this card. NOTE: It will NOT allow you to use the VGA output when you use this, you will have to use the DVI output or you remove the card and use the VGA, it won't do both. 4.5 Stars rounded to 5 even though most people would not realize that a BIOS upgrade would solve 95%+ of their problems or they were trying to get it to do something it was never designed to do.

Couldn't get my system to recognize it. No instructions available
My system doesn't detect it.No instructions available. Beyond my skill level to install. It is not a true graphics board, but an adapter. I bo. ught it because it doesn't put a heavy load on the power supply - but it didn't work

No more slow, choppy videos on Emachine's PC
I have an Emachine's 1333 11f bought new in 2010. I stored it away 2015 when I bought a new computer, which I now use primarily for work, but wanted a non-work pc for personal use. After booting the Emachines, it was so slow with choppy videos that it was unwatchable. I upgraded the ram from 2 to 4 which helped, but not with videos.I found this card and decided to purchase based on positive reviews. Granted, it's only been a week, but the results are excellent! With the additional ram and this new card, it runs almost like a new computer. Definitely well worth keeping this pc. This was my first try at upgrading an older pc. Had I known it was so easy to add ram and a new card, I would not have had to buy newer pcs over the years.

Didn't make it clear enough that this type of DVI ...
Didn't make it clear enough that this type of DVI doesn't carry audio and therefore is not interchangeable with all DVI cables. I guess you can blame me for not finding out first, but it still needs to be made more apparent to the consumers.

I love everything I can do with this card
I order Dell PCI-E DVI Low Profile Graphics Card back in June. I love everything I can do with this card. The videos are that are on youtube and Netflix are much better than the built in a video card that I was using. There was no problem with the video card at all.Even at a low profile card, you will be able to play the games and watch videos with it.Never in my live did I find a video card that I love. But the only this is that is bad about this video card is not all computer will accept this card. So look at your computers spec to see it you're able to get this.Good.Videos and games.Better picturesBadNot all computer are meant for this video card.Note Before buyingKnowing your computer before you buy anything for it.

Misleading. This states that it is a "graphics card". A more accurate description would be a "DVI add-on card". There is no GPU this is designed to work with whatever GPU you have and add a DVI port. If you GPU does not support an additional display this will not function as one.

Dell PCI-e DVI low profile graphics adapter -- plug-n-play for Linux + Win7, great resolution and clarity on big screens. NICE!
After upgrading my old flat panel monitors to larger LED and LCD, I found the existing on-board VGA adapters to simply paint the same old resolution but on a much bigger surface... I could stand back 6 feet and still read the display. So I have now bought 2 of these DVI adapters for my DELL Optiplex 745 and 780 (both small-form-factor) and found them to be plug and play.Linux (Debian/Ubuntu/Mint) found the adapter immediately, and took the recommended settings.Windows 7 required a reboot after it found the appropriate driver online, normal. The amount of increased desktop space was incredible, and the increased options for resolution (from 1920x1080 down to 800x600, 11 options in all) was very useful in finding just the right setting.Even though this is fairly low-end (small cache), the clarity on my big screens is a very nice improvement. This is an easy, quick, and economical user install, very RECOMMENDED

Didn't work!
Did not work with my Dell 7020 SFF. Called Dell Tech Support since my computer was still under warranty and my tech friend also took a look. After looking at the bios and testing with an alternative card, we concluded that the card was defective. Did not bother to return.
