Terrible lingering smell, doesn’t even work properly

I’ve tried more hair products than I can count—gels that flake, waxes that feel greasy, and pomades that either smell overpowering or lose their hold halfway through the day. This BASED Pomade honestly surprised me in the best way. The first thing I noticed was the texture—smooth, not sticky, and it scoops out easily without feeling like you’re digging through candle wax. It spreads evenly through my hair and doesn’t clump. The hold is exactly what they promise: medium. My hair stays in place all day, but it still has natural movement instead of that stiff “helmet” look. The shine is subtle, giving my hair a healthy finish instead of that artificial gloss some pomades leave behind. Even after a long workday, my hair still looks styled but not crunchy. Big bonus: it washes out cleanly without leaving buildup, which is rare with pomades. Scent-wise, it’s light and fresh—not cologne-heavy, not sweet, just clean. My partner even complimented it, which says a lot because she usually hates hair product smells. After a week of daily use, I also noticed my hair felt softer and healthier, almost like it has conditioning properties built in. This stuff is all the craze with all the high schoolers. It pretty stiff to get out of the container. Once you get a small amount you rub it between your hands so it goes on your hair easier. It holds pretty good though out the day. The scent is pleasant and it’s not greasy. Works well for the messy hair look and it holds pretty good.

First time using a pomade, and can’t imagine going back or switching to anything else. I chose this one mainly because it’s the only one I could find that lacks harmful ingredients (checked with yuka). I use only a tiny bit every few days and it keeps my hair pliable and holds it well, while giving it a nice finish. Just the one small tub I got is easily going to last me a couple of years at this rate.

my hair is in between wavy and curly. this stuff works amazing on my hair. however i don’t use it often because it doesn’t rinse off completely with water so i save it for the weekends when i want to have really nice hair
