Buena barra protectora para que no se acerquen los mosquitos pero si hace mucho aire no está al 100 de protección También le di 4 porque los repuestos son algo caros

I was skeptical at first, but this little device works wonders! The Thermacell E-Series is compact, lightweight, and completely silent—no sprays, no strong scents, and no mess. Within minutes of turning it on, I noticed a huge difference: mosquitoes that normally swarm around me were nowhere to be found. The rechargeable battery is a big plus—it lasts for hours on a single charge, and I love not having to mess with disposable batteries. The 20-foot protection zone is perfect for my patio, and it even worked during a recent camping trip. It feels so nice to sit outside at dusk without constantly swatting or spraying repellent. If you spend time outdoors and hate dealing with mosquitoes, this is absolutely worth the investment. Highly recommend for backyards, patios, and camping!

I bought this after watching Steve Wallis using Thermacells on most of his youtube camping videos. I'm a mosquito magnet AND their bites give me huge itchy ugly welts. I hate them. The price is a bit of a barrier otherwise I probably would have tried this sooner. I don't camp much anymore and I wanted one I could use outside our house without having to buy butane so opted for this rechargeable model, and having one with a built-in light makes a lot of sense. The unit is a lot larger than I expected and it creates a nice soft glow when the light is turned on at night. It does repel mosquitoes, but not the other insects. I was hoping I could leave the nasty skin creams and sprays behind, but the Thermacell is only effective if there isn't any breeze. But when the air is still, it's nearly 100% effective: I don't get bit. I can see the mosquitoes near me but they don't land or bite. If the breeze picks up, the mosquitoes come in. If the breeze picks up some more, the breeze itself blows the mosquitoes away so the product wouldn't be necessary. So there is a fairly small window of effectiveness for this product, but in that window it is very effective. It is nice to know I can skip the mosquito repellent spray if I'm going to be out when the air is still. Having a built-in light, the unit doubles as a soft table lamp or emergency lighting. The light functions independently of the heater necessary for the repellent, so one can also use this "just as a light", and I find this feature more useful than I thought I would when I was shopping. My only complaint is that the unit isn't water resistant in any way, so I have to be super careful to remember to bring it in because we live in a rain forest. (Mosquitoes LOVE rain forests!) Even if it's under a covered area, sideways rain isn't unusual here so this has to be brought indoors every time when not in use. Turning the light on helps me remember that it's there and needs to be brought inside.

I've been using the Thermacell repeller this summer on a deck with an awning. It works. Water collects underneath the deck and becomes a breeding spot for mosquitoes so the repeller has been put to the test. I place the repeller on the floor of the deck. I found it tiresome to keep taking the gadget in and out of the house to recharge and disassemble it so I put it in a plastic box with some refills to keep on the deck. Instead of recharging the repeller inside, I plug it into my iPhone charger bank while I'm using it. The charger bank stays in the box, too. Easy. You do need to give the repeller time to warm up. (The top will feel warm.). I, also, have a small bottle of Sawyer's Picaridin Insect Repellent in my plastic box and which I can use until the Thermacell warms us, particularly at dawn/dusk when mosquitoes are most active. I, too, wish the refills were cheaper but it's better than contracting a mosquito-borne illness. They last a decent amount of time if you remove the refill from the Thermacell and cap it when not in use.

We have a half acre yard with about 60 trees. It is mostly pine straw and grass, but we still get swarms of mosquitoes. Unit needs to be turned on for about 15 minutes, then the magic happens! It was very effective after this short warm up period. Long term use might be costly due to the cost of the inserts. 4 starts due to ongoing costs of inserts. 5 starts if a few extra inserts were included with original unit. It was easy to test. Let unit warm up for 15 minutes, then stand or sit near it. Walk away far enough and the mosquitoes will appear.
