I have a 4Runner (SUV) and it's always been difficult reaching the top of the car to wash it/load stuff. I saw this on the "fun finds" lists and had no idea such a gadget existed. It's heavy metal and hooks to the door latch hook on the door frame. I'm not a small person and it easily supports my weight. This is so much easier than trying to climb on the seat, hood, back bumper, etc It's small and folds down so I keep it in the trunk with the jack.

I bought this because I am precisely two inches too short to tie down our kayaks. This little gadget is so much better than loading and unloading a step stool or stepping on the leather seats with muddy shoes.I’m going to order a second one because once it arrived I realized how handy this will be to clear snow and ice from the roof too. I want a second one for my wife’s SUV as well. Brilliant product that is going to get a lot of use!

We are using this with a Subaru Forester. I leave this doorstep stored under the driver's seat in its fabric bag. While I use a short step ladder at home, this doorstep has proved its worth both in route to double-check restraints and for unloading or loading when away from home.
