GREAT CONCEPT, BUT NOT FOR BEGINNERS
The idea of an all-in-one kit appealed to me. I'm no kid (age 70), just looking for something relaxing to try. First the paper. It is advertised as "premium." It is heavy and coated. I found it difficult to work with, although the designs are quite pretty. The major downfall: The directions. Between the text and the images, the only item I was able to make was the Box. Forget even attempting the Crane! And, for the record, not all are "classic" in that one figure, or model, requires the use of scissors. Not classic origami. If you have had some experience in folding models, then this is a nice, compact kit. But I do not recommend it for beginners.

Good for a stocking stuffer!!
Not a bad purchase. I got this on sale and used it as a stocking stuffer, which worked perfectly because it helped take up room! It came with several bright colorful pieces of paper but it really only comes with instructions that have a few designs. They were also instructions that were just printed on a white piece of paper, kind of like when you get instructions for how to put something together, so it took alot of effort on my part to get my Step Daughter into it because the images didn't catch her eye. Overall if you want something to really teach you origami I'd spend extra money to buy a book with better pictures and more designs but if you're just looking for a cheap gift, this isnt bad!!

Frustratingly fun?
As someone who is not familiar with origami, I found the instructions fairly hard to follow. Definitely had to do lots of trial and error to get the shapes shown in the pictures...the boat and crane were the most doable, completely gave up on the flower. Bought this as something for my husband and I to do on a weeknight instead of watching tv, it entertained us for the evening, but mostly involved us getting frustrated and then laughing at how terrible our “creations” were. Was cheap enough that I don’t regret buying it but can’t say I recommend it.

Perfect for grammar schoolers
Perfect for your 7-12 year olds. My 4th grade boys really enjoyed the challenging shapes. Once they understood the importance of being careful to make precise folds, they wanted to do more. The girls enjoyed a few the projects, too, but the boys seemed to enjoy it a bit more.

Very disappointed
This item is very small and thin -- something you would easily find at the Dollar Tree. Very disappointed.

Easy to follow
Paper is good quality. Disappointed at the “booklet” it’s more like instructions sheet. They are easy to follow with cute designs.

bought this for my 6 year old daughter, She loved it. I had to help her with a lot of the folds but it was a fun activity to do together.

Very good for concentration & distraction, very fiddly but that’s the challenge of Origami ‼️

Great projects
Loved all the projects in the kit. Especially the crane and the flower. Very detailed projects and easy to follow instructions. Great kit for beginners but not too easy. Recommended.
