I bought this case July 15th, 2019. The battery itself is a great buy. It adds convenience for long days at work or if you're going out for awhile and you know you're no coming back. Around 4 months into constant use i finally noticed the battery life seemed to be shorter from the beginning but after that I could not detect any more changes. It has always charged my phone at least twice. The case is pretty bulky so if you have a lot of clothes with small pockets, I think the case would bother you. I usually walk around with cargo shorts or jeans that either have large or medium sized pockets. Charging the case itself never took more than an hour on a good charger. On November 14th, 2020. My phone had fallen out of my pocket while I was helping my friend balance on an electric skateboard so I was running with him. Unfortunately I didn't hear when my phone fell out of my hoodie pocket since we were both loud and laughing at night. I went home without it and realized the next morning. So I had to track it down with Google locations and for some reason it had been 400ft away from where I thought it had initially fell. Well, when I found it, my phone had been ejected from the case and it was cracked in several places but still working! After I cleaned it off and found the battery case shortly after I was curious if it would still work after being run over by cars at least twice and to my surprise, the battery case worked flawlessly. So I believe it had protected my phone to some extent, and still managed to hold it's own even after being crushed under a ton! I believe the durability of the case is superb. I love this case, it has a couple drawbacks which I want to put first on here. Also want add that these drawbacks are small and cant really be helped. 1st it's a little bulky and makes the phone weigh a good bit more, and 2nd it takes a good while charge it or your phone because it'll charge both at the same time if you've used it to charge your phone at some point in the day. But it's also something I really love about it, is it knows how to charge it and/or the phone. It also charges at a slower rate to help save battery life. Another thing i like is if I'm charging the phone with the case and plug the charger into the case it'll stop charging from the case and start charging both. It's also very durable, I've dropped it one good time onto hard ground and it was fine. It's also durable because I take my phone out the case all the time to charge just the case and still in great shape. 1 more down side is the power button is hard to press and sometimes I'll snap a screenshot squeezing so hard but that's mostly my fault for my hand placement

I like this battery pack a lot, but it says it will charge the phone & the battery pack at the same time, which i have found it doesn't do that so if you want a full charge on both your battery pack & your phone you have to charge them separately! I do like that i get a lot more life on my phone's battery with the battery pack & don't have to charge my phone as frequently as i had to do without the battery pack! I only charge my phone & the battery pack at night while i am sleeping & then both are 100% charged in the am!

My S8 is over 3 years old and the battery wouldn't last until I got home anymore. I purchased this to avoid spending several hundred to buy a new phone and I am very glad I did. I get 2.5 extra charges out of this, and while it does charge a bit slow, I am super glad I purchased it. It offers decent protection from dropes and whatnot. Better protection than some of the slim cases I've tried but not anywhere near a dedicated drop case like OtterBox. The only thing some people might not like is that it does make your phone a bit heavy and bulky. Personally, I don't mind that and I like the heavyweight feel of the phone in my hand and pocket. Also it forces you to use the included headphone adapter unless your headphone plug and cord is quite skinny. I don't use wired headphones much anymore so it doesn't bother me.

This is my second battery case of this exact design. I think they call come from the same factory and then different business entities put their name on it. My first case lasted about a 18 months, then the battery suddenly died. It would not hold a charge of more than 50%. The data throughput always worked. 18 months was not bad, not great, but reasonable for the price. My second case (this one) is worse. Battery is still working well after a couple months, but the data throughput functionality has stopped working. Now I have to take the case apart whenever I want to download pictures. Annoying and time consuming, and should not be something that breaks. I ended up giving three stars because it is inexpensive, the battery is still working well, and the design itself and how it assembles is good. But core functionality (data throughput) does not work. I would pay more money for a higher quality battery case with the same functionality, but unfortunately, I think the market is flooded with these cheap cases.

Great case. Pretty durable and long lasting. It takes a few hours to charge the case but will keep your phone up and running the whole day, even under heavy use. Protects my phone very VERY well. Dropped my phone plenty of times, no cracks on case or screen. Superb customer service and TOP NOTCH warranty. My case lasted about 1 year and 2 months before it finally broke (from me dropping it way too much). Emailed HETP and they sent me a brand new replacement free of charge. I've used plenty of charging cases and for the price, HETP has the best value.

Received the item the same day. It couldn't be simpler to use. I've only used the charging feature once so far, so my review is based on that one time, I can't yet account for how this device will work in a week, month, six months, etc. My phone battery was down to 0%. I then charged my phone completely from the battery pack. It took two hours to fully charge my phone, at which time the pack was almost out of power. My phone battery lasts a few hours so between that and the time to charge, the pack helps me eek quite a few hours out of my phone. If it continues to work as efficiently, I'd say it's worth the purchase over the alternative prospect of having to pop the case and do surgery to replace the internal battery lol EDITED 8/17/20 - well after less than two weeks of owning this battery pack, it's already not working properly. The battery pack will not charge fully which means when I'm out and about, there's going to be less power available to charge my phone. Normally when I charge the battery pack, all four led lights on the back will light up, now only the first two will light up. I'm returning to Amazon for an exchange for the same and hoping for better results with the replacement. EDITED 9/2/20 - received a replacement battery pack from Amazon. The replacement is exhibiting the *exact* same behavior. I'm going to have to return this for a full refund and invest in one a different brand.

I got the model for my Samsung Galaxy S8. My Mophie juice pack hardly charges anymore and I had to find an alternative. Mophie/Zagg doesn't carry that model anymore and the Amazon reviews have been bad, especially after Zagg bought Mophie. I found this charging case and bought it. I didn't like that it doesn't allow wireless charging, but for the price and durability, I'm not going to complain. Plus, I almost always use a charging cable, so it wasn't a big deal. Plus, the charging cable always charges faster. Once thing I LOVE is that it actually charges the phone FIRST, and THEN charges the battery pack! My Mophie NEVER did that! It would only charge the Mophie only, then you had to use the Mophie to charge your phone. That's a feature that I could never forgive Mophie/Zagg about. For the price, get this charging pack case! I like the durability and the looks, and I like that it charges both the phone first, then the battery second.
