TetraPond LED Fountain Set, Remote-Controlled Color-Changing LEDs

Been thinking about getting one of the RGB LED lights for my fountain for a while. I previously had a Total Pond white LED ring purchased from Home Depot that lasted about a year before the LEDs began progressively failing one after another.Been browsing the internet for replacements and came across this kit from Tetra Pond. The thing that intrigued me the most was being able to change the colors and effects via remote control.I finally pulled the trigger on this kit and received it yesterday. Assembly and setup was easy. Plug the LED cable into the transformer, insert batteries in remote and hold the “I” button on the remote for five seconds then plug the transformer into the power receptacle while continuing to hold the “I” button five more seconds to synchronize the remote control. From then on you can change the light settings from the remote. Also, unlike most other pond and outdoor landscape lighting kits, this kit doesn’t have a photocell. So you will need to manually turn the lights on at dusk and off when you’re through.The remote control can be a bit finicky. Occasionally it stops responding (red indicator light in the center of color wheel doesn’t light up when buttons are touched) This unresponsiveness usually lasts a few seconds. The buttons are capacitive touch (similar to how smartphone touch screens work) and when they work they respond to the slightest touch.This kit does include a three tiered nozzle, riser pipe sections, and fittings to attach to a pump (not included). I already had an existing pump and fountain and didn’t need the included fountain hardware. I’m not a fan of the newer Tetra nozzles. I have an older set of nozzles from Tetra that look nicer than their newer ones. I should point out that if you intend on using this LED ring with other nozzles than what’s included, it may be difficult to fix this ring to the nozzle or riser pipe without rigging up some kind of apparatus to attach the ring to the nozzle or pipe. It took me a some time to get together some PVC fittings to attach this to the riser pipe on my fountain. In all fairness, I can’t take away stars for having to rig this up to fit my aftermarket setup as this kit wasn’t really intended for that.After all is said and done, the lights look amazing and my pond is enjoyable at night. I may update this review in the future depending on how long this kit lasts and/or how well Tetra is at handling any issues that might come up.

The holes where the water comes out get clogged. Need to sell power cords alone

It looks really good. The fountain head clogs really easily so it needs cleaning frequently. I ended up finally drilling out the holes on the fountain head to help water flow. The light quit working yesterday. I have worked with low voltage lights for nearly 30 years. They are pretty simple. This one worked for a year. That is not long enough for the price. I will replace with a different product.

The media could not be loaded.  Remote a bit touchy to activate , but with Tetra support it went well and works well. On is |, off is O , directions leave a bit to be desired, otherwise , well pleased

Looks just beautiful we have a smaller pond with a waterfall yet this doesnt overwhelm.. great customer service for any need or question you may have also 😎

beautiful at day and night. I like this and bought a second set. I hope they include the dust/dawn sensor in the fulture.

These lights are very decorative and a nice scenery when looking out the window.
