Gorgeous sound, fantastic value
My previous bluetooth speaker was a Sonos Roam, and the StormBox blows it out of the water at nearly half the price (although it's also a lot bigger and heavier, something to keep in mind). This speaker sounds fantastic all around, but it's the bass where it really excels. Hit that XBass button and prepared to be amazed, because it gets insane. It's never muddy or distorted, instead it's clear and very very loud even when playing bass-heavy EDM or hip hop. Sadly I live in a small apartment so I actually have to turn off the XBass when using the speaker at home. I look forward to taking this somewhere where I can really blast it. My relatives are in for a surprise this Thanksgiving, let me tell ya.

Clearest sound I have heard from a speaker.
The out of box EQ is utter trash and someone needs to fix that for the sake of your brand. Every default EQ in the app is terrible. I can hear portions in songs that I could never really make out in other more expensive speakers, the clarity is amazing. Once the EQ is fixed this is the perfect speaker for me, loud enough for an average kitchen workspace, not too big to carry around, change the bass boost button to an EQ for specific bands (mine is tailored for Yes or similar bands, then modern rock and metal) My recommended EQ to set in tribit app ( +7 -3 +8 +1 +2 +1 0 0 +3 +7 )

A Very Good Speaker
We bought this Tribit StormBox Lava speaker for use at a shared family cabin. We are truly enjoying the speaker. Bluetooth pairing is incredibly easy and efficient. The speaker looks decent and blends in well sitting on a shelf. The strap is a bit over the top, so we have taken that off. There is a small handle which works just fine. The sound really is very good. There is an option to turn on or off the enhanced bass feature. Battery life seems to be real good, though we've never timed how long it lasts or how long it takes to charge. We got the item on sale which made the purchase quite enjoyable. Tribit has a decent support system. They also have an app through which you can make equalizer settings. The app gets mixed reviews. We are satisfied with the settings right out of the box. Overall, this is a very good speaker, and we recommend it.

This speaker is totally awesome.
This speaker is bangin' and the Bass is very responsive as XBass, any genre music with this speaker it gets the job done, Thank Tribit I might get another pair.

Tribit the JBL killer
This speaker has good bass sounds clear and it has good battery life so if you looking for a small portable speaker with good sound I recommend this one it rocks and you can't beat that for the price they call tribit the JBL killer.

Wish I liked it
I really wanted to love this speaker. I read several articles about the similarities to the JBL XTREME 4 for half the cost and was excited as I couldn’t afford the Xtreme right now. I love my other Tribit speakers (Flow and Micro) for the value and quality of sound they produce. Having said that, out of the box the Lava is super bass heavy and mids are almost non-existent. After adjusting via the Tribit app to improve balance, it only served to expose the speakers thin, processed sound overall. It sounded like a small speaker inserted into a larger frame if that makes sense. Proof that you get what you pay for. It may cost about $100 more to get the Xtreme but JBL’s signature sound is so clear and balanced, it’s totally worth it to in my opinion to save up and go that route. However, If you only care about a loud speaker with thumping bass, this will do the job.

Great speaker cheap long strap
Great speaker for the price point! The sound is clear, the bass is what I was looking for. Be sure to install the app and update the firmware. The only issue I have is that the clasp on the strap snapped on the first use.

Sad at first, and then blown away.
I got it in a few hours ago and decided to instantly pair up to it and test it because I was excited. I cranked it and played some hip hop, it sounded muddy and cheap. I got afraid I got goofed on again like when I fell for the W-King speaker, but then I remembered someone in the reviews on Reddit said to update the firmware and mess with the equalizer. I downloaded the app, updated the firmware, and then messed with the equalizer settings. Immediately it changed sound quality like day and night levels. I have it set to “Traditional” EQ settings and for some reason it sounds the clearest and punchiest levels to me. If this thing lasts as long as I hope without a blown speaker or a dying battery, then this company is my new go to for affordable quality speakers!
