I have a large Samsung TV mounted on the wall. Recently, my hyperactive and very bored dog decided that the remote was a chew toy. That serves me right for leaving it where she could get to it, a mistake that I won't repeat.I haven't had good luck with universal remotes. They're sometimes a pain to program and they never seem to have all the functions of a factory remote. I've also had them forget their programming from time to time. I wanted an OEM remote, and a bit of searching brought up this one.When I bought this remote, it was $8 shipped and arrived the next day. I put in a set of batteries and it worked exactly the same as the original remote. No programming required, it just WORKED.The price has gone up to $12 as I write this, but that's still WAY less expensive than a new TV (or a lot of the universal remotes). This is the best option if you need a remote for your Samsung TV that just works out of the box.

You would think a remote control would last with little use. This was a great replacement that works and connected upon installing the batteries. All the buttons seem to work. It was worth the money spent.

GET THIS REMOTE IF YOU HAVE THE SAME MODEL OF TV! I got my flat-screen TV in 2018 and it still works perfectly fine, but the buttons on my remote were really faded, dirty and unresponsive even when waiving my arms around spamming the buttons from every possible angle. With the new remote it works perfectly from every side view in our loving room. Has a great value, it's easy to use, and the battery life doesn't drain nearly as quickly as the old remote. It was easy to "link" it to our Samsung tv by just replacing the batteries and turning on with the power button as expected.

I had been so frustrated and sometimes outraged that the remote that came with our Samsung worked so crappy. Well, duh! I used the serial numbers on that remote on Amazon. There it was, I ordered one and of course...there it was by my door the next day. It is an exact duplicate in every way AND works perfect. The keys all respond immediately, unlike the old remote. Oh, and price was half of a store bought replacement. I'm happy, wonder what took so long for the light bulb to light up on the computer in my head.

Don't buy this item if you expect to use it for 20 years. I have several Samsung TVs, different models, and they work on all of them. But they wear out. It you watch TV daily, and channel surf, expect a year out of them. But for $5.99, you really can't go wrong. I have had original remotes that came with the TV crap out just as fast.

I am extremely pleased with my controller. this is the second one I have ordered. the battery life is good, easy to use, works well, good quality for the money.
