On the "Hole": Separatec is very good for guys with average or above-average length, especially for those who deal with discomfort, sweating, or the need to adjust during the day. They make you feel like you aren't wearing any underwear at all, but keep you dry and well-positioned. If you are below average length, you may find that you slip out while sitting, ruining the effect. On the appearance: These are best worn tight, which is VERY REVEALING. I tried to upload a picture of myself wearing these and was flagged by Amazon. They position you out in front, which can show quite a bulge in dress pants. That being said, they are very attractive and make most men look large (a little less than the briefs and trunks, though). On the fabric: Micro-modal is by far the most comfortable fabric they offer. It is soft and very stretchy. It needs gentle treatment: I always wash on delicate and line dry. I've had these shorts for more than a year and they look exactly like day 1. On the cut: Boxer briefs seem to be the most comfortable style. They have a medium amount of ball room (briefs have the smallest, trunks the largest). I have a 31" waist, which is between sizes. For these, I order small. I've heard guys with big legs complain about riding up and guys with big bellies complain about the waistband folding down, but I'm a skinny dude so I don't have those concerns. I give these five stars because as soon as I tried these on, I threw out every other pair of underwear I owned.

These pouch underwear are great. I have used separatec in the past and loved them. These newer ones are great, too.

Soft and comfy. Good for our humid hot Texas Summer. Keeps you dry, better than traditional cotton.

Extremely comfortable and great access to use the bathroom

Love them... Seemed a little weird at first but with the Modal fabric, it's a winner! I can't say everyone will love them, but it was worth the $30 to initially find out... ended up ordered 2 more packs.

Super soft

Been using Separatec for a couple of years now and have no intention of going back to a traditional design. Agree with several other buyers that you may be able to go a size lower than other designs. The modal had plenty of give, and tightness comes across thighs before engaging the waist. Indeed the waistband is probably the least snug of any I've tried before, but not in a too loose, not fitting way. Just really comfortable with a decent grip. Not much to add on the pouches, as usual supportive and incredibly comfortable. Plenty of room for all cargo without feeling like swimming in them. I've read others saying the fabric gave out quickly to become boxer shorts. I'm several washes in and that hasn't been the case for me, though if you're used to traditional elastic feel on all edges, this will feel "loose" by comparison. Really happy with the purchase.
