Excellent taste!
This is the only time I've ever reviewed an item with no promptings or email requests from sellers. That's how impressed I am with this. This tastes so friggin' good!! Some time ago I developed an obssession with a certain fast food joint's chocolate milk shakes and it started to worry me. The cost for one but also the nutritional aspect. I had no idea what I was really drinking when it came to the ingredients. One day I randomly came across a guy on youtube who talked about how this protein drink was the only protein drink product he knew of that he could fully support due to the ingredients. Just for s***s and giggles I bought 2 since the price was right. As soon as I opened one, I immediately noticed that they sell by weight and not volume. These are only half full! That pissed me off quite a bit. I don't know much about shipping stuff so that was news to me...it might not be for you but FYI. I then blended a scoop with Blue Diamond Almond Breeze Vanilla flavored milk and took a sip. Holy !@#^$ cow!!! (no pun intended). Since then I have become hooked to this cause it's that good! I've also tried this with Blue Diamonds Original milk and still tasted good but slightly less sweet (obviously). No more chocolate shakes that are incredibly bad for me. No more guilt when I succumb to temptation while trying to take care of myself. No more looking for the next best protein drink product in the "health" industry. I'm sticking with this item and when able am going to buy more. The half full container still irks me but the taste is too distracting for me to care long term. Eventually I will probably add comfrey to make this even healthier! I've added cacao powder to give it a stronger chocolate taste and to make it healthier and it's friggin' awesome! One thing I might also do is add 1 or 2 ice cubes to make it colder....frankly I would recommend you do the same but to each their own.A word of warning and this is purely guessing. I looked up this company's website and couldn't find this product on their site. I am thinking that they have discontinued this product which explains the relatively low price which then means that eventually these will run out. If I am right, and again I haven't bothered to verify, then you may want to hurry it up with your purchase.Final thought: the reviewer who was bashing this product is very suspect to me. I can't help but think they might be a competitor or disgruntled former employee, etc but that's just me. I checked both of my containers for a "cancer sticker" and can't find any so again, not sure why the hissy fit from that doofus. All that said, if you want a delicious and extremely healthy protein drink instead of fast food milk shakes or protein drinks that have added crap put into them which then renders them unhealthy, then buy this and buy it now!

Gooey when hot.
I realize this is a beef protein powder, but I wasn't expecting it to be gooey when added into a hot drink. I add to hot chocolate in the morning and it doesn't dissolve, so you get gooey clumps. And it does take beefy - the taste is a little stronger than I would have liked.

Good value
I can't speak for muscle building because I don't work out at all, but the chocolate flavor is good. I mix in some powdered peanut butter and it tones down the slight metallic taste. Not bad, will try more flavors.

Pinching your nose won’t help
Nasty. Worst tasting protein. Can usually get past a not so good flavor if the benefits outweigh it, but this stuff tastes rancid. No thanks

Good protein choice for food allergies
I have a long list of food allergies, so finding a protein supplement to support my weight lifting at the gym has been a challenge. I can't have any of the dairy/whey or egg based supplements, and the soy/pea/god only knows what supplements give me what is euphemistically referred to as "gastric distress" as well as not being very bio available sources of protein. Many manufactures don't take food allergies into account enough to even label their supplements well. Olympian Labs Beef Protein is not only well labeled (especially for gluten intolerance which is the most important for me) but it tastes a lot better than the only other beef protein that is also gluten free (exactly what flavor is "blue Raspberry"?)A lot of reviews of protein shakes and supplements focus on the flavor, and while I remember from my pre-food allergy days that some supplements are truly foul (see the above soy/pea/god only knows what kinds from above) that seems like the least important quality when you are looking for a dietary supplement. That said, the Olympian Labs Beef Protein tastes just fine. Its easy to mix and drink, and the chocolate is a nice reward after working out.It is also a lot cheaper on Amazon than it is at the store, and since we go through a container a week, that is important.

Made for those who can't consume dairy or whey!!
I have been using this beef protein powder for a year now. I drink three shakes a day and blend them with either almond or coconut milk.I can not process dairy and therefore can not tolerate whey or casien powder. Egg protein, pea protein, and rice protein also have given me digestive problems. This protein has been the best product I have come across in years! I can't go a day without it. The ingredients are simple and healthy. This is the only beef protein available without creatine too. I am a female and do not want to have creatine supplements in my diet. The only thing I wish they would have is a vanilla flavor, but other than that I give this product 5 stars all around. Great price too. Amazon has the best price on the internet and also the quickest shipping. I love this site and this product. This product also mixes and bakes easily. I have made protein pancakes, protein macaroons, and protein bars with it. And, if you want to really create a fabulous shake get the Frontier Flavor Extracts (my favorites are peppermint, maple, and butterscotch) and add a drop to a shake and you have one of the best tasting guilt free treats on earth! No Bake Chocolate Protein Macaroons - my recipe (picture included)1/2 cup shredded unsweetened coconut7 dates pitted1/4 cup raw combined almonds/pecans1 scoop chocolate protein powder1/2 tsp ground cinnamon1/2 tsp Frontier almond extract Flavor2 tsp warm waterPut all ingredients together in a food processor and mix until it all comes together.
