Great Sickle, I highly recommend
This is a game changer for me, I have 3/4 acre of property to maintain. All kinds of nooks, edges, you name it, places where weeds and brush grow. This is a grab and pull sickle, I grab weeds/brush with one hand, and firmly pull the sickle with the other towards me. Spend time with this sickle and you will agree, this instrument is sharp and must be used carefully. I wear leather gloves whilst using. Clean the blade after using, and don't complain on Am@zon how the balde rusted because you did not properly care for your sickle.

Great tool for cutting down flowers or weeds!
Well made tool- works fantastic for cutting down long debris by hand, use it with a slight sawing motion and goes straight thorough even thick weeds! I have purchased a few of these tools and for the price everyone should have one in their garden sheds!!

Good for light work
The main thing I use these knives for is to groom ferns. The old growth gets brown, snow crushed, or otherwise tatty so I cut it off. This allows the new growth to come in nicely. I got this Zenport for the first time because the last one of my usual Astron brand seemed to have lost quality - sheered off teeth pretty quickly. So this Zenport looks pretty similar, the teeth are a trifle shorter. It does very well with the ferns and other light pruning - big grass mounds, water reeds, etc.. It is not as robust for the salmon berry canes, or huckleberry branches. From the other reviews it seems there is some misunderstanding about how to use these knives. They are an up close, selective pruning, or hands and knees lawn and path work tool. I am addicted to them because arthritis makes hand pruning shears difficult. These are easy to grasp and your arm does the work, not your fingers. I have not used it long enough to know if the stainless steel will rust. if it doesn't, that is a plus. My Astron knives do rust. The shape and action is the same, and the orange makes it way easy to find in the grass and shrubs. The cost makes it a great option for light work.

Great for cutting lake growth.
Works great to cut lake weeds at the root level. Just attach a 5+ foot length of 3/4 PVC to make the handle longer and more flexible. You'll have to file down the sickle handle or expand the PVC diameter with a heat gun, but the set-up works great to remove pesky lake growth around piers and banks. Serrated blade cuts better than the $150+ V-shaped lake weed cutters if you can wade into the water. In fact, one of the V-shaped cutter manufacturers should consider offering serrated blades which cut with less effort and stay sharp longer and

Great value
I work a small farm in Hawaii and go through these types of sickles all the time. I normally buy the wooden handled ones which are a bit more expensive. We tend to lose them around the farm because the blend into the dirt/grass. Thought I would try this less expensive, bright orange handled plastic one. The blade is every bit as nice as the others and hopefully this will be harder to lose and easier to find if we do. It is very sharp and cuts through things like banana branches like butter.

Easy to use and sturdy
I got this little guy to clean up the grassy border between my neighbor and my yard. Her lawn is growing into mine, and the grass is getting taller/falling all over my side. Once a while, she'd use the electric trimer to tidy up, but unfortunately it always leaves the clipping all over my area. Since it's not a large area, I figured why not give this sickle a try. To my surprise, this sickle works very well. I held onto the top of the grass while I slice along my neighbor's fence and the root, and it cut fairly easily and quickly. It created a nice line in between, and kept it clean because I discard the clippings straight into a waste bin. The picture doesn't do justice since 01. there were previous grass clipping everywhere 02. it doesn't have an artificial straight line 03. I was able to pull the entire blackberry root out because the blaze provide a secure grab onto it (which is not showing). Overall, it's exactly what I wanted and work exactly how I expected. I would recommend the seller and the product!

Not effective
Doesn't cut very well. Returning. Tried many angles and speeds but serations didn't do a good job cutting. On other sickle is was super effective but not this one.

I bought this for removing hay from large round bales that I have "stuffed" into sea cans (to keep out of the elements). I wasn't having any luck with rakes, small hand held garden tools so thought I'd give this a try. Works like a charm, easily slices trough the hay allowing me to grab the bunches that I need for feeding. I drilled a small hole through the end of the handle to make a loop with some cord so I can hang it up when I'm done.

This scythe is a bit smaller than the other from the same 2 pak deal, but I think that's because of what it's for. It does work pretty good and is lighter weight than my non-surrated scythe, which is for cutting different stuff. If used right it works good! Just hold what you are cutting with 1 hand and pull the blade through the product stem (wheat, etc). I don't use it much at this time, but am happy to have it for later.

J'aurais aimé que les dents de la faucille soient moins grosses. Soit plus fine pour une coupe plus tranchante au niveau des graminés

Really happy with this product. The serrations on the blade are nice and sharp, the handle is a good length, and its nice and light. The orange handle is necessary over the wood option as if you drop it its easy to find and easy to rinse when it gets full of mud/dirt. I wish there was a small hole at the bottom of the handle for a wrist strap and to hang it up after use, but I was able to drill it myself.
