OLIGHT Perun 3 Headlamp 3000 Lumens LED Head Torch, Rechargeable Headlight with Red Light Option, Ideal for Camping, Working, Repairs and Outdoors (Orange)

This is a really fantastic torch. You can use it attached securely to the headset by the metal clips, or you can use it independently of the headset. It has multiple brightness settings, including a turbo setting that’s incredibly bright - but it makes the light get rather warm quickly, which is why Olight fitted a proximity sensor to it that turns it off turbo mode if it’s too near to anything. It’s advertised as 3,000 lumens, but it feels as bright as the 50,000 lumens torch I also own. It also has two red light settings for when you don’t want to lose your night vision when you’re doing astronomy or other dark-needing endeavours. Olight make amazing torches - I have 4 of various sizes now, as well as 11 of their absolutely brilliant Spheres, which are also well worth checking out - best synchronising mood lights ever! Olight torches aren’t cheap, but they are very very good - excellently made, sturdy feeling, and they perform to the highest standards. I have no hesitation at all in recommending any of their torches to anyone looking for a quality torch that will perform brilliantly. This one’s waterproof, for example. I dropped it in a hot tub at night on holiday, it didn’t miss a beat, just lit the bottom of the tub up until I lifted it out! Battery life is great - the 5,000 mah battery gives up to 20 days on the moonlight setting, but a lot lot less on turbo. You can get spare rechargeable batteries on here if you want that extra peace of mind or for longer trips out. They’re a standard size - the 21700 is the model, they’re about £18 for two. The charger that comes with it is a magnetic clip - that just goes on the end, and plugs into a USB A port. At £90, this is not a cheap torch, but you’re paying for quality and performance, this really is a premium product… I think the term is ‘reassuringly expensive’ 😁 An easy two thumbs up for this high performance, versatile, brilliant (both meanings!) torch 👍🏼👍🏼

Absolutely FAB-U-LOUS. What a cracking torch I didnt know i needed. Its permantly stuck to my head for walkies in the dark and workies in the dark too. Every DIY job is now brightly lit. Where there was fumbling there is now accuracy. As a head torch its brilliant, light and easy to forget its there, apart from the small sun shining out of it! The battery lasts for ever and and it really doesnt take that long to charge it on a very cool littl magnetic charger. I love this little guy!

Very rarely leave a review, but this has earned it- lovely and sturdy thing, feels well made. This makes the head torch a little front heavy, but the band makes up for it and holds it well. Great visibility on the lowest setting, with the others giving a wide beam that’s great for walking. The maximum brightness is unbelievable, not sure what use it has other than showing off and burning out other people’s retinas (but good to know it’s there to call on if you need it!

The OLIGHT Perun 3 is a high-performance headlamp for serious outdoor enthusiasts, DIYers, and anyone needing strong, reliable light. Though a bit bigger than ultra-compact models, its power, battery life, and build quality make it well worth the investment. If you want a headlamp that won’t let you down during extended use, this is an excellent choice.

Bought as a last minute addition to a winter running trip, I made a good decision! Firstly, for the price, it is very nicely made. The body is made of a hunk of metal, as well as all of the attachment accessories. This have me some worry that it would bounce around when on my head, however the included head strap I have to say is fabulous, as well as being very adjustable. Adapting to the torch is okay, I sometimes find myself turning it off (single press) accidentally, but that I'm putting down to user error 😂 It is bright! The highest power level before turbo is more than bright enough for most excursions, however the turbo mode is ridiculous! I haven't verified the 3000 lumen claim, however it feels like wearing a sun on your head, so more than good enough! Good price for how good it is, I can't recommend enough specifically for runners based on the size and weight.

Very Good torch wilth minor annoyances. Price - I got mine on a black friday deal, at full price I probably wouldn't have bought it. Weight - its heavier than any other headtorch I have owned, if weight is an issue, avoid this and go for the mini. Battery - I am a newbie to the 21700 battery. For full function you need the Oilght version, but it will run off other brands (but only if you get the right sort) and you need another charger. The upside is increased run time. Charging - magnetic charging is great, but I would prefer a bog standard USB C. I am going to lose the charger, or not have when needed, that's for sure. Scratching caused by metal head band - put a bit of silcon grease around the area of contact. It makes it easier to slot in and out and it may reduce scratching over time. It is still secure. User interface - It does take a bit of getting used to. I get turned off if I have to press too often for the setting I want. Everything else I like. I trust the brand. I don't regret buying it.

Great range of capabilities and is nicely over engineered to provide a high class product. Appears robust, ergonomic and practical, ideal for a person requiring a head touch that should last. Comes very stylishly packaged to emulate the quality and design of the product, im sure customer service will be just as required, but may never be needed.
