Too expensive
This is for 4 bars. Way way overpriced. The bars are good tasting but not worth that amount of money. They used to be much less expensive.

The best bar I've had
I ordered this sample pack, and I've eaten the blueberry pie bar. It's simply the most satisfying and nutritious protein bar I've had, and I've tried at least 20 different bars. The flavor and texture are closest to the RXBar, only slightly better and less sticky. Then you've got the macros-28G protein and 14 grams carbs-and it includes allulose, which has been shown to have beneficial health effects. The most impressive thing about this bar is how satisfying it is--I didn't have the slightest urge to eat anything else for 5 or 6 hours-on 150 calories! In fairness, it's not the best tasting bar I've had, which is the Power Crunch Peanut Butter or Chocolate mint. But the David Bar, for about half the calories, is immensely more satisfying, has healthier ingredients, and tastes pretty decent. I'm switching over to these, even though they cost nearly twice as much per bar (although about the same per gram of protein). And I get hungry within a couple of hours after I eat the Power Crunch bars--they're really more of a protein-rich cookies. Flavor is important, but it's only part of the overall experience. I'm extremely happy with the David bars-and I paid for them.

When Protein Meets Highway Robbery
First of all, these are some of the worst protein bars I’ve ever had. I’d rather chew on drywall — at least that has some texture. Second, $24 for 4 bars? That’s $6 per bar, and the only thing getting stronger is my regret. David, my man… for that price I thought each bar came with a free personal trainer, a Spotify playlist, and maybe a therapist to help me work through the financial trauma. So many better options out there. Save your money, save your taste buds.

healthy candy bars with protein
I was pleasantly surprised by these! I usually crave something sweet in the afternoon, but I don’t want to undo my workouts or end up with a sugar crash. These bars taste just like a candy bar—rich, chocolatey, and satisfying—yet they pack in a solid amount of protein. The texture is chewy without being too dense, and unlike a lot of “healthy” protein snacks, there’s no weird aftertaste. They also don’t sit heavy in my stomach, which makes them a perfect snack between coaching sessions or after the gym.

Worth a try, but an acquired taste.
I ordered a starter package of the David bars based on a write-up in teh New York times.I am a loyal to Quest, and will continue to be. Here's why:1. The David bars lack fiber. The Blueberry Pie bar contains <1 g. of Fiber. Quest Cookies & Cream contains 13 g. This is the top differentiator. I imagine fiber varies depending on the bar.2. David bars taste ok. I'm sure that I could convert over if Quest disappeared overnight, and overtime I would adjust.3. David bars are premium-priced, although just slightly. So, I don't hate them. I just prefer Quest. Plust Quest's additional products (crackers, muffins) are great.I had bariatric surgery 2 1/2 years ago and my Quest regimen, in addition to my regular diet and a lot of hot yoga, keeps my weight and muscle tone right where it needs to be...steady.And a final note: The backers of David bought a factory that produces a certain type of ingredients (I believe it's a type of oil) for protein products and locked other makers out of using this product. I don't appreciate businesses pulling that. If you created the product, that's one thing. Buying in and canceling other client contracts, or not allowing renewals, is non-competitive, and frankly, it doesn't make your bars better.

Good option for protein bars
I saw these on Tik Tok originally and figured I'd give them a try, especially with the macros. Super high protein and low calories.I typically like the bars that have some kind of crunch in them, or baked texture to them. These do not. That being said, it's the first bar outside of those kinds of textures that I really did enjoy. I've tried all of the flavors, and don't love them all, but I really do love the chocolate chip cookie dough and the cake batter flavors, and have incorporated them into my normal shopping list.

Much too expensive. Odd aftertaste.
Funny aftertaste, to be honest. And despite the coverage in the NYT, I don’t see anything special in the ingredients. There is supposed to be some wonderful oil in here that’s beneficial for metabolizing protein. I studied the ingredients and I don’t see any indication of that, however. Also, they are prohibitively expensive. Better choices are available on Amazon. Even better, buy some low sugar peanut butter and other ingredients and make your own version.

Buyer Beware!!!
Beware - only 4 bars in this option. I don’t know how I missed this detail - but looking at other reviews it’s obvious others have been surprised there were only 4 bars. What a waste of money - and ability to return. The David brand - marketing only 4 bars -leaves a bad taste in my mouth. :(
