Magic Humane Mouse Trap
These are magic! They are a humane way to capture your unwanted guests. We had a mouse in the garage so I ordered these. They are simple to use, donât injure the tiny critters, and make release easy. Worked right away! Left it out after the first release (a couple miles away) and within a couple hours we had another.

Humane and easy to use
So I bought these traps in November 2020 today, April 28 2021 I finally caught the little one. The timing had nothing to do with the trap. The trap works great, easy to clean, humane and I didnât have to worry about my dogs getting stuck in the sticky tape again. The eternity of time was due to the mouse. You see, this isnât just any ordinary mouse (in my opinion.) clearly this mouse is highly educated most likely a Harvard or Yale graduate. In the 9 months this little one has been living with me (and itâs only contribution was droppings and scaring the ever living hell out of me in the early morning hours) it has managed to avoid all other sorts of mouse catching devices. EVERY. SINGLE.ONE. So, came across the Captsure traps and thought my prayers had been answered. My traps get delivered, take them out of the box and read direction. Well, this should be super easy! I decide to put a peanut butter cookie in the food section of the trap. I mean, âwho doesnât like a peanut butter cookie?â Clearly my mouse. Next we try a Girl Scout Samoa cookie. Canât go wrong! Clearly I was wrong. Next we move to plain old peanut butter and not the chemical đŠ storm peanut butter but the all natural kind. Iâve managed to not poison the little one thus far why should I start now. Although educated my mouse does not have good taste in food because the peanut butter was an ultimate fail. A week ago I take the trap out of the pantry, clean out the peanut butter, clean the trap. Once again clean the pantry and the shelving of little turds. Iâm looking for something to put in the trap, something special, something this little f*#ker wonât pass up. Ah ha, found it! Add food to trap, place trap on floor and put the broom on the side of the trap to create a cozy environment. This morning, my dog is going bat đŠcrazy. In the pantry playing with the mouse trap. All i kept thinking was, âsomeone should have fun with it!â Tell her to get out and she wonât. Then the other dog joins in on the fun and I now have 150 pounds of dog in the pantry going ape đŠ. I get up to see what the deal is. At last I caught the little turd. Turns out my mouse does have good taste and clearly better then mine because it took using marcona almonds at $25 per pound to seal the deal. Iâm ecstatic and happy that I can close this chapter in my life except now my kids want to keep it as a pet đ¤Śââď¸

Instant catch - I'm stunned at the effectiveness and ease of use.
They come into your house at night. They eat your food, leave disgusting things all over the floor, and the spread disease. They sometimes nest in a pile of debris and an unspeakable spell wafts in the air. No, it's not your teenagers and their friends - I am talking about rodents. But like the teenagers, you want them outside your home but you certainly don't want any harm to come to them. We've used this trap on the day it arrived in the right out of the plastic wrap, and already we have a catch. I am using a little birdseed inside as bait - and not actually using the peanut butter as instructed. I was concerned that the little critters would not climb in, but they are curious, and driven to madness by their hunger (hmmm, just like the teenagers again). They crawled right in and the trap shut behind them. The tail cleared no problem. The mouse was fast enough to already be turned around as the door swung shut, but not fast enough to do anything about it. The little guy was frantic to get out for the first moment or so (we saw it happen), but calmed down quickly, and began attempting to find a place to chew the plastic - to no avail. You can leave a little food for them inside, and there is plenty of air flow. I imagine they would like survive for days at an inside temperature. Maybe longer. But you should definitely check the traps every day, hopefully more often, to avoid any stress or harm coming to the new prisoner. My only complaint is that the release door is a bit tricky to pull up quickly, and they aren't stupid. As soon as that door starts opening, they'll get as much of their body out as they can. So we tried hold it upright and keep the critter away from the door while we wiggled it loose. Did you know mice can jump? We learned they can, and very well. I am hoping with repeated use, the door gets easier to open. Overall though, this is the best live trap I've come across. For the teenagers, I've found if you throw an Xbox or Playstation controller outside, they run after it, and you can lock the door behind them.

Worked pretty quicky
This elusive little guy had been avoiding snap and glue traps -- every night parkouring through the stove despite my efforts to keep the area dry and clean and placing traps in different configurations along its route, evidenced by the disgusting presents it was leaving for me to wipe up with bleach. This had been going on for weeks, to the point where I was pulling the stove out every night -- at least keeping it from exploring the entire kitchen counter space. I set one of these on the stove top and it captured that MFer on the second night. YAY!

Amazing product and excellent company.
This is the most ingenious little trap to get these furry creatures đ out of your house safely. I am someone who simply cannot kill anything, especially not field mice. I get them in my area at the condo where I live, so when I saw this, I fell in love with the idea of catch and release. Okayâso you get two of them, and they are reusable, but you just have to clean them out after each catch because the mice sometimes go to the bathroom in them, and they do get dirty, as shown. I have included two separate photos of two separate rescues. They are both safe and sound, as you can seeâtotally unharmed. I do want to mention: I don't recommend putting food inside the trap where you see the mouse sitting in the second photo. Some people throw food further down the ramp (donât); just put it where the instructions tell you. The reason being, the smaller mice are sometimes able to get in and out without setting off the trap because they are lighter in weight, and they can make it out without getting trappedâand they get a free meal. đ I have left big pieces of cheese in on a few occasions to test this, and a few times the cheese was gone and there was no mouse, so sometimes you are going to get mice that can get away, depending on their size. You can read up on putting coins in to help with that issue. Someone discusses this in the questions section, and there are answers to it. So, leave the bait in the trap door as recommended; they will go in and keep trying to get at the bait, and you have a better chance of the door shutting. For the bigger ones, the door shuts automatically, as their weight will set it off. The seller and the company are amazing! The best company and sellers I have ever bought from in my life. When you get the product home, you receive some instructions, but you also get an email from them with a PDF download of complete instructionsâdoâs and donâts. They even give you information on different types of mice, with pictures so you know what type of mice you have in your home, and provide information on the different types of mice and what areas they are commonly found in. I first messaged the sellers at least 20 times with questions, and they got back to me every time. They are so sweet and helpful. I highly recommend this product. If you follow everything they say in the instructions and are patientâyou might not catch them as fast as some do, or you may have to find out where they are in your house, so move the traps around to different spots unless you know exactly where they are coming from. My friends now call me the mouse whisperer, lol. I'm thankful for this type of product where the mice donât die. Now you see their little faces and they are scared, but when you take them to where you are setting them free, you feel so happy for them when you see them run out free. Oh, also, I put some small pieces of cheese through the holes on top and push them through with a fork (I use the same fork for this each time, wash it, and save it, or use plastic forks) after each capture so they can have a snack before I take them and let them go free. I feel bad that they smell the food but canât get to it during their capture, so I feed the furry creature before setting it free. Some are too scared to eat after they see you and realize they are trapped, but I've gone to get dressed, get my keys, and leave them alone, and sometimes they do eat. I want to thank this seller and this company for everything. Five stars all the way. P.S. I want to be totally honest with you about this product: after so many captures, if you notice youâre not catching anything, they do stop working. But remember, itâs a very reasonably priced product and you get two in one, so just buy another set if needed.

Cut off part of mouse's tail due to design flaw!
I was having mice raid my veggie garden every night and eating all the seedlings. I have had great success with havahart mice traps [https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0000DINGG] but for some reason I only caught one mouse over a period of weeks and the mice kept returning but not going in the Havahart traps. I'll rework those havahart traps for outdoor (vs inside my garage when they got inside) trapping by creating a cardboard tunnel over the Havahart. I used these traps (2 of them) three nights in a row, and caught 1 mouse the first night, 2 the second, and 1 the third night. Unfortunately, 1 of those 4 mice had about an inch of its tail lopped off by the snapping shut of the entry door. Poor thing (see picture with mouse and lopped off tail portion). So these traps need to be about an 1.5 inches longer so the mouse is further inside before the door springs shut. Not humane if the traps cuts of the mouse's tail. The traps are inexpensive compared to havahart, but the havahart are metal and have lasted me many years and never injured a mouse and I've caught a couple dozen in the havahart traps. I like that the havahart has the food in the middle of the trap and the mouse has something to eat overnight as it waits for me to come check the traps in the morning. The bait in this trap is not accessible to the mice, and 2 of the 4 mice were lethargic upon my checking the traps in the morning. The temperatures had dropped into the 50s due to a rain storm, and with no food to boost their metabolism, they got cold and I had to warm up the mice for an hour till they perked up for me to safely release. Again, never had that problem with the havahart. I like the effectiveness in catching the mice in my garden, but not the chopped off tail and the inability of the mice to get to the bait food overnight to keep them perky for release. I'd recommend this type of trap if you can find a longer version of it. Otherwise, the havahart trap will definitely do the job for trapping inside a home, garage or inside car as I've had great success in those situations, and more moderate success on uneven surfaces outdoors.

Caught the mouse 5 minutes after the lights went out
I got the traps (it's awesome it comes with two) cause I had a mouse. I will assume this is not a huge surprise to everyone as to the core reason. .... But there is a little more to it. First off, I am not adverse to snap trapping mice the "traditional" way (other than long ago before the rain before the snow I've snap trapped my fingers setting the traps and that ain't pleasant) ... As I was saying I had a mouse. My daughter (11) isn't fond of killing said critters (though we have a hunting family and she knows about that whole process). I could tell her that the mouse can do a lot of damage, bring more mice, play loud music late at night, etc and has to die. This is our domain not the mouse's and the mouse is the intruder. She would say ... But why kill it? And my answer would only be because it's easier and that, to me, is a lame answer. Laziness is not a good reason for killing a critter. I could lie and say I didn't kill it. That using the snap trap I only stunned it and then got an Uber to take the little guy back to where he belonged. But I'm not fond of lying to my daughter. I could ignore the mouse but that is also laziness and I'd also have put up with listening to the cat tear across the hardwood floors in the middle of the night chasing said mouse. Did I mention I have a cat? This cat is great at chasing the mouse. One of the best mouse chasing cats I've ever had. Catching and dispatching the mouse? Man, that cat can chase. (note: if my cats talents includes dispatching of the mouse ...and so long as she doesn't then bring it to my pillow ... If you've never had that happen, trust me it's not great ... then I'd be fine with that too. Our house. Cats house. Cats (usually) are bad a** predators and I believe in being responsible for one's own actions so ...sorry mouse. But, as mentioned, this cat is a BA chaser. Twice the cat cornered the mouse allowing me grab the mouse and escort him thru the backyard to the alley and help him on his way. Ok. The cat didn't actually corner the mouse, I would see the mouse hide in a corner after shaking the cat and the cat would run around in the wrong areas but nonetheless ... Teamwork! The literature and email that comes with this trap is excellent btw. I had no idea a mouse had to be brought so far away. I am now sure that my mouse was the same mouse every time. So the traps arrive one Saturday (after the great email sent prior) and I have to admit I was a bit skeptical. Looks more like a 5th wheel for a gerbil than a trap. But money spent means I gotta give it a run. At around 10:00 that night I set them up. And one was in that dark alley between the stove and the wall. It's not a great neighborhood so I didn't think the mouse would actually go there but maybe (like me) he likes dive bars. World class mouse chasing cat sees me place it and thinks it's a toy and tries to stretch her paw back there ...so I move it further back to where I think it's out of her reach. At 11:30 or so I go to bed. Hey Google turn out all the lights. Darkness falls. 5 minutes later I hear the cat messing with the trap. Hey! Cat! I yell. Knock it off. 30s go by and I hear her again rattling the trap a little. Cat! I yell again, Stop messi...cat jumps on bed. Wait a moment. If cat is on bed then ...Hey Google turn on all the lights. And sure enough this awesome amazing trap (I knew it would work! Never a doubt) caught my cat's track coach of a mouse. No more than 5 minutes after I turned off the lights. I took trap and placed it in the larger Amazon box it came in. Covered so cat couldn't get to it. Went to bed. The next day I drove to a river walk 4 miles away and released the little hoodlum. I have not had a mouse in the house since and my cat is gaining weight. 5 stars ... Awesome trap. Awesome customer service.
