Yummy alternative for diabetics
I've been using this product for a couple of years now. At first I was hesitant but have liked it enough to buy regularly. Fortunately I'd read other comments before using it and knew to rinse the noodles well to remove the earthy smell. As a diabetic, I miss being able to eat noodles and rice. These noodles have a different texture and I've not tried them with cheese or tomato sauce, but add them to stir fries and that's been great. Tossed in at the end of cooking veggies and meat/chicken, these noodles cook quickly and absorb the pan sauce. A package is enough for two.

Don't be fooled!
Shirataki noodles are soooo good! And soooo good for you. They have very little to no carbs and are just amazing! I know it looks weird right...this stuff floating in water. But it's to keep them hydrated. But you can make ramen with it and they are pretty sturdy. They're made from some kind of Japanese yam. Super healthy! Please TRY these at least once...they don't have any flavor so it's best to eat them with some kind of sauce or something

Beware they don’t digest
These were pretty ok. I personally think they work better as an Asian noodle because they much more rice noodle consistency. I had it as an Italian style spaghetti substitute and it was fine. Not amazing, not bad at all. Just rinse really well before eating or heating. Big warning though, these do not digest. How ever they go in, that’s how they’re coming out. Chew your food, folks. Lol.

Good but make sure u rinse them off good to get rid of the fishy smell
These have a fishy smell straight out the bag but ive found if u wash me really good and maybe simmer for like 10 mins with veggie broth or whatever broth u like, u completely gets rid of that smell and i hate fish or anything fishy

Tasty but painful
The consistency is a bit odd but I love the taste. Unfortunately these noodles give me stomach pain for at least 24 hours after ingesting them.

Great Product
I purchased this product at my local grocery store. I had read some pretty horrible stories about Shirataki noodles and was hesitant to try these. I researched the best way to prepare them and I believe that made all the difference. First...there is a fishy aroma to the liquid the noodles are packaged in. That aroma in no way indicates that the product is spoiled. It is merely the smell from the lime solution that preserves them. The noodles are completely safe. Dump the package(s) into a colander and rinse very well with cold water. This may take several minutes. It will drastically reduce the aroma from the noodles. Next, have a pot of boiling water to which 1-2 TBSP lemon juice has been added. Add the noodles to the boiling water and boil 2-3 minutes. Drain once again. Heat a non stick pan to medium heat. Do not add anything to the pan. Add the noodles and cook them until they stop releasing steam and begin making a faint squeaking sound. Be sure to use tongs to move the noodles around to keep them from browning. They are now ready to eat. Add your favorite pasta sauce, stir fry, stroganoff etc. and enjoy. The texture is firmer than al dente pasta, but not off putting. The strands are very long, so I cut them with kitchen scissors prior to boiling. These are a great alternative to riced cauliflower or zoodles. Neither my husband or I experienced any stomach upset or gastric distress of any kind. We will buy them again.

Terrible. The taste and texture are nothing like pasta
I bought these based on a number of positive reviews here. I don't know what those people are accustomed to eating, but if you have an expectation that these "noodles" will mimic your favorite pasta and absorb the delicious taste of your homemade sauce.....FORGET ABOUT IT! These are terrible. Two mouthfuls and into the trash. Do yourself a favor and steer clear of these. Don't make the same mistake I did.

it was so darn good.... first GF noodle With no weird aftertaste or texture.
WOW I have many food allergies and have a very rare disorder and I am on able to eat a lot of foods including wheat, gluten, sugar, potatoes and anything that tastes good. I miss pasta So I’m trying all different kinds of pasta and so far hadn’t found anything that I enjoyed ... Heck I’ve even say passably tasting edible.... until I ate this. These noodles don’t taste like anything which is great because whatever sauce or seasoning you’re using well actually be the taste. I just made a pad Thai version and it was so darn good.
