Excellent metal detector and easy to use straight from the box.

So, new to this metal detecting malarkey. The detecter is easily constructed from the pieces it is in, the build quality looks great. I spread out a few items on the lawn as per the instructions to get a feel of how the detector works. Essentially, the more conductive the metal the higher the pitch of the bleep...there is also a number value to help you. I set the detector to jewelery mode and yet still found lots of iron rubbish in my garden. Even a value of 90/100 which should be a high value metal, is still crappy iron. Anyway, there is a pinpointer button that works very well, but it is wise to buy a seperate pinpointer because once you kneel down to examine the dug up earth...using the metal detector is cumbersome, so you need a proper hand held pinpointer to make the final location of the item. I'm happy with the detector...the sounds it makes are really cool, it works a treat...as the videos on YouTube say, you just have to spend time getting to know your machine and then you will tune in to the high value targets like coins and jewelery.

I bought this after seeing a group of detectors in a field adjacent to our farm. Pure whim but we've already found a lock for the door in the first pass over the back garden. It's ancient but would still work and look fantastic. I love it and might need to buy another to stop arguments. Good entry level to try out detecting.

Easy to use, does what it says on the tin

This was a gift so wasn’t able to submit review sooner. It was difficult to attach the plate to pole-little plastic clip had to be filed; only millimetres but it was a delicate job! Apart from that the recipient (adult) is enjoying the use . It can get a bit confused and confusing however-near a metal gate it decided that there was jewellery or a ‘dime’ so I don’t expect to hear that great treasure will be found nearby! 4 stars because of the fitting problem .

Works very well, I thought it was broken but you need to turn it on, wait for it to beep before you can put it near metal or it will not work correctly. A+++ must have!

Es un gran producto para empezar y lo resumo: 1.- Necesitas un pinpointer, el detector grande te ayuda a dectectar dónde puede haber cosas pero el que te dice dónde cavar es este y su función la hace muy bien. 2.- Los materiales me parecieron muy buenos (quizá no excelente) pero el producto se siente de buena calidad y se ve que aguanta bastante tiempo. Lo elegí sobre los más baratos y no me arrepiento. 3.- La detención es muy buena, quizá sería bueno que trajera más tonos ya que solo te indica "cerca" (unos 10cm) y muy cerca (unos 5 Cms) sin embargo es bastante atinado cuando estás cavando. Me ayudó a encontrar varias cosas. 4.- lo único que hice fue poner un pedazo de manguera plástica en la punta (no afecta la detección) esto para poder cuidarlo ya que como lo metes a la tierra después de un rato se ensucia y a veces se raya. 5.- Lo meti al agua, no todo... Pero cuando menos hasta la mitad y funcionó excelente. Un buen producto.
