Yellow Jacket 93842 Mini Ball Valve (3 Pack)

I ordered these after a little hesitation, simply because I was unsure whether I would actually use these enough to make it worthwhile and if they were that time-saving. So, after reading the stellar reviews and debating for a week (don't judge) I decided I would order them...after all they are a Yellow Jacket Product. Now, I am usually not the fanboy type to just buy one particular brand of equipment, but in the case of HVAC tools and equipment, all I buy is Yellow Jacket. I am so glad that I purchased these and will try not to ever hesitate again when it comes to questioning a YJ product. I do wish I had only bought one of these though. I pretty much only use one of these and usually it is only when charging. I keep it on the R-22 tank and just hook up my charging hose to it and I am ready to go.These save me time and time is money. I can quickly turn off the supply of gas as needed and it really is a great product. Very well made as you would expect with the same knurls as you have on your YJ hoses. So do yourself a favor and pick these up already. Now whether you get the single, or the three pack is up to you but I should have just gotten the single. Oh well, I gave the other two to my buddies who thought they were a godsend as well.

Perfect addition to my A2L gauges

Received the valves well packaged. Installed to Yellow Jacket hoses and have used them roughly four times. The valves seal as designed in all points. At all times they are left with pressure on them and no loses have occurred. They are a great benefit to have as you use less product and keep your hoses sealed.

Doubt you'll get a better price elsewhere.Works well enough, does the job.Bought em twice already, probably buy again in another year.

Since you cannot deliberately discharge any perceptible amount of refrigerant / oil into the atmosphere legally, how are you going to disconnect and clear your gauge hoses? With these you can shut the valves off, and then reconnect to discharge into a recovery tank, or as some do, let it be drawn into the low side of the compressor. Yellow Jacket consistently sells a reliable product at an acceptable price.

They definitely work. Tested them the same day I received them. You do not have to remove the steam from your hoses just add these on. Very nice quality and weight as well. Highly recommend to buy instead of buying new houses with them already on when you have houses that work just fine.

These YJ 93842 angled brass ball valve shutoffs are very handy and often the only way you can even get a hose connected to the equipment service ports. These valves came in a pack of three but, can also be purchased individually if desired. They are rated for 800 PSI working pressure so can be used with R410A. I don’t know that these valves are specifically vacuum rated, but I do see a lot of guys using them for evacuation and have used them for this myself at times.
