Perfect mix of content and practice
One of the biggest challenges with educational literature is it is often entirely practical (pages and pages to copy and print out) or entirely theoretical (chapters on research and the evolution of an idea). There's a place for both theory as well as practice, but for new inclusive teams eager to get started with the work of building their partnership, neither really fits the bill. This book is the perfect combo! It includes a straightforward series of exercises and conversations co-teachers can utilize to help discuss the "big idea" concepts they need to sort out together but also the smaller, more delicate topics that will make their partnership stronger. On top of that, the authors are writing from a place of real-world experience and infuse it with the type of humor teachers can relate to. We are using this book as part of building our inclusive program within our district and have found it to be a helpful resource for all.

Humorous & informative must-have guide for co-teaching
While many schools over the past ten years have embraced co-teaching (a general education and a special education teacher sharing responsibility for a classroom), teachers and administrators are swamped with demands on their time for professional development. This book seems to have been written to address the needs of busy professionals from those beginning their journeys together to seasoned pairs and those who support them. I work with teachers and administrators and have found 30 Days a fun, flexible guide. The book is divided into 30 topics that include essentials such as vision building, time management, lesson planning, establishing parity, differentiating, co-teaching structures and relationship-strengthening ideas. Users can pick and choose or work through the entire book. The illustrations and examples reflect 21st century classrooms. The authors describe themselves as passionate cheerleaders of inclusion. Their delivery of ideas and advice reflect their humorous enthusiasm and broad understanding of the needs of co-teachers.

This book is FABULOUS! As an Inclusive Programming Specialist, this resource gives me strategies for working with teachers to create more inclusive opportunities on a DAILY basis! There are tools that can be used immediately to help improve parity and communication between teaching partners as well as easy-to-implement strategies for meeting the needs of very diverse learners. It's very easy to read as there are some hilarious parts that will catch you by surprise and it doesn't need to be read in sequence or all at once in order to be put into practice.
