As an import, it is less expensive than Corning-made Pyrex. We have noticed variation of wall thickness and make a suggestive comment that Pyrex uniformity might be preferable if using higher heat.This is the Beaker the seller listed, but delivered a totally different one.Brand: BOMEX doesn't Label Borosilicate, and we do not know for sure what material it is.

These beakers are functional and pretty good quality. They do what I need them to do and that's be heat resistant containers. My beakers take a serious beating getting bathed in 160-200oF water 3-4 times a week. Sometimes they even get microwaved for short periods of time. I've been using this brand of beakers since last year and like them. Just don't drop them and you'll be set. I've gone through at least 1-2 sets of these beakers plus a few individuals. They don't handle rough play very well. The beakers handled the trip from the Amazon warehouse to me very well. They however did not handle my 2 moves, braking suddenly with them in my car (happened 2 days ago), or being dropped very well. They clean extremely well and stay crystal clear. When it comes to heat, these beakers will have your back all day long. When it comes to physical shock, be prepared to buy new beakers. I don't use the measurements on the front as I have instruments that I use for measuring so I can't comment on their accuracy.All in all these are a great beakers and work for my purpose. I would recommend these for the hobbyist or the scientist.

Pretty delicate. I got 6 of these, and within just 5 days, one of those got cracked for no reason. I rinse it with cold/normal water and let it air dry up-side-down on the dish rack. Good size. I use these as regular drinking glasses.

Though I had to return the first one after it arrived broken, the replacement has been absolutely great. The markings are all spot on, which is extremely important. This is a larger sized beaker than I usually use in my daily mixing but that has been a huge boon rather than a hiderance. The increased size gives me the ability to aerate the liquids more while mixing which helps to develop them faster and I am finding this to be an extremely useful piece of equipment!

Bought to try making liposomal vit C and other nutrients without having to struggle to clean the ultrasound machine. Nice beaker. Not entirely sure the U.S. machine DOES make liposomes through the glass... Will keep trying.

Used for pool testing and shot glass but not at the same time. Works great.
