* Overall Impression: -This is a very nice soft, dense, high quality, shorter handled makeup brush that works well for foundation and concealer. * Pros-what I liked and what worked well: -Fairly good value for the quality and performance. -Excellent quality, very nice brush. -1 foundation brush. -Very dense, soft bristles. -Oval shaped. -Works well for both foundation and concealer. -Works well with liquids, creams and can be used with powders as well. -Can also be used for cream and liquid blushes, highlighters, contour and bronzer. -Has a tapered angle as shown, this makes it work especially well in the contours of the face around the nose and under-eye area. -Sturdy metallic rose gold toned metal brush ferrule. -Full sizes brush head, not mini or travel sized. -Shorter size brush handle and length (almost a shorter travel size in the handle length). -Shorter length makes it good for travel or carrying in your makeup kit or purse for touchups. -Has a good grip and feel in the hand and is easy to hold and use, even with the shorter handle length. -Synthetic, vegan, plant based fibers, cruelty free bristles. -Natural handle material, FSC certified. -Nicely finished in a smoothly finished pink tone on the handles. -Wash and dry well with no bristle shedding or running. (Tilt it downward during washing, use a gentle face wash like Cerave Foaming Cleanser and air dry on a towel.) -Comes in a sealed, re-closable plastic storage bag. -No unpleasant odor. * Cons-what I didn’t like and what didn’t work well: -The brush handle does have the brand logo printed on it quite prominently. -The brush doesn’t have the intended use or a brush number printed on it. -No brush guide is included. You may want to save, print or refer to the listing pictures and details to understand the intended brush uses. -No brush guard included. -It’s a little difficult to get it out of the plastic bag as the bag is a little small for the size of the brush, be careful when taking it out of the bag. * Tips & Thoughts: -While I wouldn’t consider this an Artis brush dupe in the style, shape and density, if you like how Artis brushes apply foundation and concealer that almost blends itself, this is a brush you’ll likely enjoy. I’d compare it in quality and density (though not a true dupe in shape or brush handle) and feel to some of the Morphe foundation brushes that blend very well, especially the domed M439 Morphe foundation brush. If you like some of the denser Real Techniques brushes, especially the expert foundation brush, this is not a dupe (different shape, handles) but has a similar density in that it blends in a similar way. If you enjoy very dense brushes, kabuki, or Artis style that apply foundation, concealer, creams and liquids in a way that gives an airbrushed, almost self blended (minimal blending, no struggling) way, this is very nice and has a similar density and style of blending and application. -I would use it for foundation or under eye concealer, it works well for both. I do still prefer my Morphe M439 or Artis Oval 7 for foundation, but this one is good as well. I prefer this shape and size for under eye concealer even more than foundation, though it works well for both. I also like it for under-eye setting powder due to the shape. -Note that no brush holder, brush cup or brush roll is included. -The handle is a bit on the thicker side in the circumference. It may not fit every brush holder or brush roll well due to this.

This brush a lot smaller than I thought it would be! It is only about 5 inches long and has a short handle. Would be great for travel. I used it as a foundation brush and it works well, it applies and blends my foundation well without leaving streaks or absorbing too much of the foundation. The bristles are sturdy but I do prefer my foundation brushes to be a little more dense so that's my only comment. I can see this brush being great to use for blush as well. Overall, no complaints, this brush works well.

I've been using the toty Ilumina Brush for a few weeks now, and I'm absolutely in love with it.
