This TV has genuinely exceeded my expectations—it's a fantastic piece of tech. One of the standout features for me is the Ambilight technology. It adds an incredible immersive touch, especially in my RGB-themed gaming room, syncing beautifully with the overall aesthetic and creating a more engaging atmosphere while gaming or watching content.Even when used as a PC monitor, this TV performs exceptionally well. Despite running at 4K 60Hz, the image quality is crisp, the colors are vibrant, and the overall experience is smooth and satisfying. For general use and gaming, it's more than adequate. What excites me even more is the potential for future upgradability to 4K at 120Hz via HDMI 2.1. Knowing that the hardware supports this kind of performance down the line is really reassuring—especially for anyone planning to pair it with next-gen consoles or high-end PCs. It adds a layer of future-proofing that makes this TV an even smarter investment. As for the built-in apps, I haven’t paid much attention to them since I primarily use external devices or a PC, but I assume they function well enough for most users. Since I haven’t encountered any issues or faults so far, I’m completely satisfied with this purchase.Overall, this TV is an excellent addition to any gaming or entertainment setup. Highly recommended. 👍

Television is perfect for what I needed.
Item ended up being ideal, after I worked out how to operate the TV. No need for a return or replacement.

Smudging on tv screen
I purchased this tv in July 2024, everything was fine. I registered for the warranty. However the screen has started to show signs of damage internally with smudging inside the tv screen. I have had this happen to other smart tvs however that has been after 2 years. I contacted Philips who said it was not a manufacturing fault and suggested I contact them for a quote to put a new screen in. I never expected this to happen under a year of having it. Eventually I will need to buy another tv. I would not recommend.

Well worth the money
Very good tv once you get used to the remote. It's lacking any instructions, so could be difficult to get to know the controls. I had to go online to find out how to connect to Bluetooth, even that was quite a task with the remote. But got there in the end. Despite all that,it's still a good tv.I recommend it

An Ambilight TV will change your TV experience forever!
This is my second ambilight TV since 2008. If you like to watch TV/Shows etc.. and if you watch an Ambilight TV for an hour, you wont like any other TV after that moment. I've read some negative feedbacks about Philips Ambilight TV, all were related to Smart TV functions. If you won't like Philips’ smart TV functions, buy a smart TV device (eg Mi Box etc) and enjoy the rest. It worths!Ambilight TV vs all others… Try it, you wont regret.--------edit: The remote is terrible. Probably the designer has never needed to use a TV remote, or at least did not try/use this one :(.A TV user needs up/right-left/right arrows, OK / Back and Volume UP/Down buttons, all close to each other, without needing to move the remote in the palm. This remote is so long and the weight balance is terrible. Even the batteries are in the lower part, the upper part is more heavy, this makes the remote kind of useless when you try to use the lower buttons (e.g. volume), cause it feels like it'll drop because of the unbalanced weight. Also the volume keys are so far from arrows' area (Joystick area) so when you need to adjust the volume, you have to move the remote down to reach volume buttons, which are also SO SMALL and can not be recognized easily. I started to use my MI BOX for smart TV purposes, it has 5 buttons and all are in same small zone, easily accessible.Small details, make huge differences dear "Philips TV remote designers"!

Not Worth the Annoyance
I bought this tv in Feb 2022, so feel I can leave a long term review. When I first got the tv, it was fine, but a bit slow using it's built in apps, which didn't bother me too much at the time as I was mainly just planning to use the tv for gaming. However that being said, I have tried to use the apps like Netflix, Disney +, YouTube etc and all I can say is, it's not worth the hassle. The apps lag constantly and often just freeze. Navigating through the app menus on the home screen is so slow, as if the tv is struggling to maintain it's built in RAM.And since Christmas 2024, the tv has started to just randomly turn itself off while I've been gaming.Which if you're a gamer, you'll know this is a serious problem. At one point, after it turned itself off, it refused to turn back on again until after I had to unplug it and then plug it back in.Another flaw, is that the tv is constantly demanding to install updates.I don't see what these benefits give to the tv though, as nothing ever improves. Nothing ever gets better. Instead it just seems to consistently get slower and slower.I am now in the process of purchasing a new tv and when I do get one, this one will go where it belongs. Straight in the skip.
