Great, unique recipes
I’ve tried a few recipes already from this book, and all have turned out great. They’re also a little different than those typically found in Peruvian cookbooks as they focus on the Andes. I look forward to trying out many more.

and it was truly amazing!! I was introduced to Pisco cocktails
We ate at this restaurant in London, and it was truly amazing!! I was introduced to Pisco cocktails; we bought the book when we got home and ordered some PIsco so we could make the recipes in the book which were excellent. Great cookbook, although I don't believe I'll ever be able to reproduce the magic from the actual restaurant.

Great Peruvian cookbook
Great Peruvian cookbook. I’ve spent a lot of time in Peru and love Peruvian cuisine. Lima has become one of the culinary capitals of the world. Authentic recipes! Well written and very interesting!

What a joy to find the wonderful food that I have enjoyed ...
What a joy to find the wonderful food that I have enjoyed at the Andina restaurant shared here in a book that reflects all the warmth and passion Martin Morales clearly has for food, cooking, ingredients and the culture that produces such great dishes and flavours. It's great to have alternatives for some of the ingredients that may not be so easy to find, and clear instructions to follow making the recipes very practical. The addition of the stories and excellent photos make the book a real treasure - I bought this as a present for a friend, but will have to buy another copy now as I definitely will be keeping this one myself.

There is more to chillies than heat
Some incredibly interesting recipes that brings a whole new range of flavours and tastes to the home cook. I love all the different chillies that bring layers of depth not just heat to the recipes. My only negative is for a person living in the countryside many ingredients are not easy to source.overall I will keep cooking and using this book for many years to come.

More fancy than simple "andina" cooking
I can unfortunately only back up what the other three star review said. The premises of the book sounded like it was inspired by the everyday cooking of peruvian women, so I expected easy and comforting homely dishes but most of them are indeed more restaurant style, and a good one at that. The presentations of the dishes are beautiful so if you want to up your cooking and serving game they certainly are inspiring.Having said that if you are not put off by a more sophisticated approach to peruvian cooking it's great (although away from London markets I'm not sure where one would find squid ink, ox tongue or pig liver to name a few). Lots of care was put into the design and story telling. Aesthetically speaking it is possibly one of the most gorgeous books out there, I love the tile-like effect of the cover, the stunning pictures and illustrations- it's just the recipes that disappoint me for the reason stated above (I feel like all the excerpts taken from the book in this preview or in the guardian are the easiest ones and thus do not reflect the overall difficulty level of the rest).
