Changed my way of eatng!
I love this book and have been recommending it to everyone I know. I thought I ate pretty healthy before I read this book but I learned of so many ways that I can help my family eat even better. Upon completing this book, I bought a juicer and I have been juicing everyday and I feel better than I have felt in years. I love how the author breaks down information into specific chapters for common illnesses and offers explicit instructions for diet, herbs, juices and supplements. The other thing that is great about this book is that the author does not make you feel as though good nutrition is an all or nothing choice. The information is presented in a way that you feel as though any small change you can incorporate is a step in the right direction because let's face it....we all cannot eat perfectly all the time.

Top notch information
Excellent book, full of healthful information and recipes. I was already on this path of healthful nutrition, and this book reinforced me 1oo%. I was so impressed with his healthful juices that I bought a 'Vitamix' one of his suggestions. I love it, making my own healthful juices with a variety of veges and fruits. I first read this book from the library and new I needed to have it on my bookshelf, so purchased my own copy for future reference!

A bit outdated but still informative
This book was published in 2003 and therefore doesn’t include info on pesticides and dangerous additives that are in our food supply now, 20 years later.There are good bits describing natural fixes for common medical conditions. Lots of good principles to live by and timeless advice on vitamins and supplements.

Great information
This book is amazing! It has given our family so many new foods to try and incorporate into our diet. It has also helped us pin point certain foods to better our specific needs. Great purchase as i refer back to it quite a bit.

Excellent book. Not just for yogis! Eat well. Live long.
This is a an excellent, informative book about the importance of food for a healthy body. Written by a doctor and kundalini yoga practitioner. Backed by legitimate research and self discovery. Delicious recipes in every chapter. This book is not just for yogis, but for anybody interested in a long, healthy life. NO scam diets. No false promises. Just the facts. The book will open your eyes to the importance of using food as medicine. Read and eat well!
