MedVance TM Silicone - Bordered Silicone Adhesive Foam Dressing Sacral Size 7"x 7" Box of 5 dressings

I used These for my Dad’s bed sores. They were very effective. The padding is great and it covers the area very well.

My husband has a non-healing wound in his sacral area. These pads are lifechanging. Previously we were dressing the wound with gauze and covering with an ABD pad. Since we have switched to these pads his quality of life has increased 100%. These are highly absorbent and work great even for high draining wounds. We no longer worry about leaks, stains and smells when we are out in public. The adhesive sticks well all day and does not leave a sticky residue around the wound. We are able to buy Medvance pads for $3.80 a piece through Amazon, through out insurance (and medicare supplier) we would be paying $5.80 each as a copay. We seriously cannot live without these!

Couldn't find a bandage size large enough that worked on a 3x5 area on my stomach and also stayed in place til this sacral area product, which I apply upside down from the way it would be applied on a back. Easy to peel off, no pain, I've worked with it on with lots of movement, sitting, bending, etc, doesn't fall off nor bunch. They are somewhat pricey, but the rectangular bandages I could find that might cover beyond 3x5 were more money. Will last for 48 hours if needed, though I didn't shower with it on -- others say it's not waterproof. I like that it's a bit larger than I really need as I don't have to worry about any adhesive dermatitis near the wound, though that hasn't been an issue anyway with the silicone adhesive. Infinitely better imo than any gauze/tape combo type of bandage, and the MedVance adhesion seems superior to the smaller McKesson silicone ones I also use, will be checking out those sizes with MedVance as well. Just want to add that the silicone bandages are all so much better than a standard adhesive bandage, to me they're easily worth the extra cost.

Ver effective patch. Helps my husband's sores not to hurt as badly while sitting.

These are great for covering large wounds. Stay on and don't stick to the wound. So much more affordable than buying in the store. Would recommend.

These are really good. I bought these for my elderly mother who unfortunately developed a pressure sore while in a care home, so now she being treated at home, these are a godsend, although the nurses do have their own dressing, they like to use these too. Although it has been used they also tell me to keep them as spares just incase some how they forget to bring their own.
