I waited to write the review until after we had received and installed the lighted balls. We are using them outside. So far, they have survived an incredible rain storm with high winds.They arrived well packaged. All of them worked perfectly. They are well made and bright enough to hang 14 feet over a front door and look great! You can attach up to 3 balls together or use them individually. The color of the lights blended well ( not a perfect match, but still very nice) with white incandescent string lights that we used all around them. We used the hook on top of each ball to hang them from cord we had tied to a beam. Attaching the cord allowed us to hang them at different heights over the front door. We ran the power cord ( which came off the third ball ) down one of the porch supports ( so it was hidden) we easily attached three balls together. We played around with the settings to find the one we liked, that took a little patience, but worth it! If they are connected, you only have to set one. Ours are plugged into a timer that controls all of our outdoor lights. We picked these for a few reasons: 1)we wanted to plug them in 2) We wanted to connect 3 together. 3) we wanted them to blend with incandescent string lights 4) we wanted a choice of settings 5) we wanted a fair price and we got a great Black Friday saleWe found them easy to install and good sized at 12 inches in diameter. They also fold flat which makes storage much easier!We will be buying more for a tree next year.I did my research, and it paid off. It’s a really fun look! Quality product, I would recommend.

The lights look good and were easy to install. The mechanism used to open and secure the ball shape was fragil and broke easily. I was able to jury rig something fix them but the system should be more durable.

I bought 2 of these (4 total) and hung them in my tree with other lights. They come with a weatherproof plug with multiple lighting functions (flashing, fading in and out, sparkling, etc. - as well as a mode which cycles through the other modes). There's a button on the power brick which changes the mode and it seems to remember the last mode which was set even when power is cut. I have these plugged into a smart plug with my other Christmas lights so they turn on and off at the same times everyday. You can daisy-chain them together although there is a tag which states that you can only chain a max of 3 of them together. Kind of annoying since they're sold in 2 packs but at least I have a spare. I didn't test if they would actually work if all 4 were chained together. They've also got very long power cords which is nice. Time will tell if they hold up to the elements this winter. But they do look really good and the lighting effects are great.

These look great but are not well made and will probably just get this year out of them. I ordered several of these to try and get 3 or 4 that were good and had all of their parts. Some were missing the hooks at the top, some were missing the clips to connect the rows, etc.

Worked great. Look great. Hope they last a few seasons. Season one down.
