Universal Remote does not work with Roku streaming boxes
I bought the Universal Remote primarily to work with an LG TV and a Roku streaming box. Both are about 10-12 years old. I have an LG TV, Samsung TV and two Roku Streaming Device boxes (model 4630X). Documents say the remote is preprogrammed to work with all Samsung TVs and Roku boxes. It did not initially work with either the Samsung TV or the two Roku boxes. I then used the Direct Code Entry to setup the LG TV. Setup for that was easy and worked to control the LG TV. However, I could not get the Direct Code Entry to setup the Roku boxes. I tried all the codes. I then tried the Auto Code Search. That was a disaster as it turned on several other devices in my house, including reactivating the LG TV Channel Selection popup forcing me to decline entering the Channel Selection mode with the original TV remote (Universal Remote wouldn't work to turn this off). This just turned off my LG TV and deactivated the Universal Remote which was setup to control it. Couldn't get past this obstacle and eventually abandoned the Auto Code Search setup option. This is probably better as a TV remote. As the AI Reviews Summary and several customer reviews have noted, it doesn't work well with Roku devices. I downloaded the Roku app which has a remote included in the app and can connect to any Roku device. I now use that. Works fine. And it's free.

Relliability
Worked fine the first couple of weeks, but after a while it began to skip channels when you hit the channel button. Actually it didnt really skip the channel it sort of put the channel(s) on some type of drop-down list. Really confusing? I thought it was just my unit, but I ordered another one that did the exact same thing.

Missing "back" button is crucial
Works great for most except Youtube (particularly) because users can't go back to the home page. You can only control the video you are currently watching or exit the app completely. If you exit and go back to Youtube, it puts you back to the video you were watching. Really needs a "back" button to navigate within apps.

Cheap Chinese Crap!!
If I could give no star I sure would. Wouldn’t even connect. Went through every single “code” they supply for my RCA tv. Not one single code worked. How is this possible? Oh I know, it’s because we allow this cheaply made crap to be shipped. It didn’t control or connect to anything. I will be returning!!

Good value
Good for the price. I was able to control my TCL TV and Vizio sound bar with it. Setup took only a few minutes using the code list. Doesn't work with Amazon Firestick. The codes need to be updated for TCL tv because the home button doesn't work. Instead, the menu button acts like the home button.

Good remote, false advertising.
The remote is actually pretty nice, if a little too thin for me. Easy setup, buttons responsive. I almost feel bad giving it 2 stars BUT! My issue is mainly with false claim by the vendor in the website description and on the insert included with the remote. They claim that with the APP Hotkey you can: "Access top apps like Netflix, Amazon Plus, Hulus and more". I thought Great! That's what I really want. I couldn't figure out how to do that since every time I hit it Netflix came up. No way to program it that I could see. I asked a question online, the vendor responded and after some back and forth, they finally admitted you CANNOT program in other apps or change what comes up. Definitely false advertising and I wasn't impressed that they were willing to offer me 20% off. Nope. Returning it. If that doesn't matter to you, I would recommend this remote. I just don't like dealing with nonsense like this.

Easy to program but easy to break
I have vision issues and the sheet with the codes was challenging for me to read but thats a me problem. The remote was easy to program and has worked great. However this IS a replacement for the exact same replacement remote that stopped working out of the blue for no identifiable reason after only 6-9 months of use. So my rating is for both.
