Worked great in icy conditions
I bought these to wear on a trip to Alaska. I was there in early spring when snow thaws during the day, creating slush, and may freeze again at night. There was a lot of ice on the ground when we returned late at night and early morning, and I was really pleased with the extra traction the yaktraks provided.Pros: They're lightweight, easy to pack, and function well. I thought I would be aware of them when I was walking, but I really wasn't.Cons: They're kind of a pain to put on. They damage flooring and should not be worn indoors. In fact, many establishments have signs posted asking that any type of cleats be removed from shoes before entering the building. It's one thing if you are in the entryway of a building where you can sit on a step to accomplish the task. It's not fun if you're in a vehicle and need to put them on before getting out.The little spikes on the bottom of the Yaktrax tended to catch on things, and it was a rental car, so we were extra careful and removed them while inside the vehicle.

From no mobility on the ice to full mobility!
After getting stranded during the last ice storm due to dangerously slippery conditions, I decided to invest in Yaktrax Spikes for Walking on Ice and Snow. These have proven to be a game-changer!Even with the worst ice and snow conditions, I can now walk with confidence. The Yaktrax Spikes easily fit on both my boots and sneakers, so I believe they would work with almost any footwear. They’re quick to put on—takes just a minute—and they stay securely in place. What’s more, they feel incredibly durable and well-built, giving me confidence that they’ll last through many winters. I now keep a pair at home and one in the trunk of my car. These are a must-have for any winter emergency kit and have made dealing with icy conditions much safer and easier.Highly recommended for anyone dealing with winter weather!

Yaktrax spikes
They do the job ok. However, despite putting them on tightly, they have slipped off my feet. They are a little cumbersome when walking but as long as they keep me from falling on the ice, I will wear them. The quality is ok. Thankfully, winter ice isn't a daily occurrence despite having a more than usual icy winter. i use these to walk my dog.

Awesome! Game changer on icy walks!
These are a lifesaver for working outside in icy conditions. They’re a little tricky to get to stay on muck boots because the muck boots have a molded footbed vs an actual attached sole, but they allow me to get my outdoor chores done safely and without fear of a nasty slip and fall. I’m ordering another pair to have on hand. Highly recommended!!

Great on snow and ice!
Shoe size 7.5-8 womens US, they were easy to put on over my Sorel light weight boots. Received about 6in of snow and also a little ice and they worked really well, felt supported and no slipping. Great value too!

Great for ice, useless in snow.
Way better than original Yak tracks on ice. The spikes give a better grip. Just watch out for decks and floors while putting them on and off to avoid damage to the surface. That said they are not very secure on your boots. In snow they come off as soon as you lift your foot out of an inch of snow. The straps keep them attached but you just have bunched up rubber under your feet. Still a good value for the price but should not be advertised for use in snow.

Great Grippers for Ice!
These are great for the ice and crusty snow. I like that they are not heavy like the grippers with spikes but work very well. I also like that they have Velcro to keep them in better! Bought a second pair exactly the same for another family member.

Save your neck! ( back, head, hip!)
As a climate refugee, moved to the north woods of Wisconsin from the hellish heat of the south, I had to adapt to ice and snow and subzero temps. Pretty much got it figured out but slipping and falling on the ice was not in my plan! Learned about Yaktrax from the locals and started with the originals for the first few years ( the kind with the coiled springs) and they were OK. On super cold days, they still slid on supercold ice, they just couldn't grip. This is my second pair of Yaktrax but first with spikes and I wish I'd just done these the first time! They did a fantastic job of gripping snow covered ice on a 4 degree day when yesterday I was still sliding with the old pair. I would honestly say just start with these. Easyish to put on and take off. I feel safe when walking on ice with them, unlike with the others. And an incredibly good price!
