Installed these around the entrance of my garage last September. They are still going strong. They were a bit longer than I needed. Instead of cutting them I just slid them under a small opening I had and taped them down. I did use a diffuser so you dont see the actual lights. One side came down and garage door smashed it. I took a look and they were still good. The shielding is a silicone cover that kept the lights from breaking. Very durable, nice color and you can control the brightness They are nice and sticky. Just wipe down with alcohol before attaching The app works just like the house lights. These would be nice to run in places you dont want those cone effects.

Great hardware, very cool lights. We can set them to follow the music, show motion, or just be a calm warm white. Good lights. I just wish they would streamline the app. There are too many scenes, and it's challenging to get a whole room with multiple devices to just run a single color / pattern. Every product has a different set of scenes, and the scenes are unclear until you actually apply them. 10/10 for the hardware and value for money. 4/10 for the app and simplicity. Strongly recommend the 6-button remote to control them simply, once set up.

I’ve been using the Govee RGBIC Strip Light 2 Pro, and honestly, the brightness is where it really shines—literally. It’s one of the brightest LED strips I’ve tried, second only to the Govee COB lights in my book. At 32.8 feet, it covers a lot of space, and even on full power, the light is strong and vibrant across the whole length. If you’re going for that bold, room-filling glow, especially in bigger rooms or dark setups, these definitely deliver. The Wi-Fi control works smoothly, and syncing with the app was easy, which made adjusting colors and effects a breeze. That said, I do think these are on the pricier side, especially if you’re buying multiple rolls or need longer runs. I didn’t test the Lumen Blend feature with DreamView since I didn’t set that up, but from what I know, it’s supposed to help with smoother gradients and less banding—maybe something to try later. Even without that, the colors pop and change instantly, which is fun for music sync or movie nights. I just wish the price tag felt a bit friendlier for how much you’re paying. Still, the quality feels solid, and the brightness alone might be worth it for people who want that “wow” factor. Overall, I’m really happy with these lights. I’m a big fan of Govee’s products in general—the app’s user-friendly, and the lights just work well day-to-day. If you’re already into their ecosystem or want something super bright and customizable, these are a solid pick.

I’ve been really impressed with these Govee lights. The variety of settings is huge — whether I want something calm and cozy or bright and energetic, there’s always a perfect option. Connecting them to Alexa was quick and easy, and being able to control everything with voice commands has been super convenient. My favorite feature is definitely the music sync. The lights react smoothly and make any playlist feel like a mini light show. Definitely an upgrade from what I was using before!

Great product, Easy to install, beautiful colours and very good white balance. Dark scenes finally look dark without weird green glow. Works great with DreamView TV sync. Very satisfied!

love these! my boyfriend and i have them above our kitchen cabinets and they totally brighten up the room! now that we have them, idk how we’d live without em. although, sometimes they will randomly turn off (could be user error?). anyways, i love all the options for colors and patterns for the lights, you can truly set the mood for any occasion!

These do indeed work as Matter lights, and you can technically use them without ever touching the Govee app. But there are some problems. For one, there is a slow transition between colors that you cant seem to get rid of. The Matter protocol for lights supports changing this setting, and the setting shows up in Home Assistant, but even when I set it to 0 there is still a super slow transition that I don't like. Also, for some reason setting certain specific colors in Home Assistant doesn't work at all. It just throws an error and doesn't do anything. This one doesn't seem to be a big deal in practice though since I found you can get around this by just picking a slightly different color on the color wheel, so unless you need an extremely specific color, this should be a minor inconvenience at worse. Still though, this bug should not exist for something as simple as a light strip. When I unboxed it and tested it, there was an annoying issue where if you were to set one color, turn it off, then turn it back on by setting it to a different color, it would first slowly fade in as the old color, then once the old color was fully faded it would then fade from the old color from the new. It was bad. But I connected it to the Govee app and an update was available, and after updating I decided to test it again, and the issue was gone! Since I bought two of them I decided to test this again on the second one, and again this bug was there before the update, and after it was also gone, so good on Govee for fixing that. But bad on Govee for forcing us to pair using their app to get this update. Again, Matter supports updating devices, but I specifically checked with my second light strip if I could get this update using Matter instead of their app, and I couldnt. Seriously guys, if youre going to call this a Matter product, dont halfway implement it. And you have to sign up for an account to use the app, so if you want your Matter product to not be buggy you have to give your information to Govee. Also, for my second strip I initially skipped the firmware update message when I first paired, and after that it simply wouldnt let me update at all! The update section showed no updates available. I had to factory reset just to get the update popup again. And speaking of factory resetting, I had to factory reset the second one, as well as plug and unplug the light strip, reset my smartphone, and retry multiple times to get my second light strip to pair with the Govee app and Home Assistant via Matter. But my first strip paired with no issue. And one more note on factory resetting. I also dont like how it only comes with one physical Matter code attached to the device. It should come with a second on a piece of paper since a reset Matter device is totally useless without this code, and most Matter products nowadays include a spare code in the box. As a lights strip through, it quite good. It feels high quality, the colors look good (I didnt exactly use a color meter or anything, so feel free to take that with a grain of salt), and the adhesive is sticking well (if that changes ill post an update). You don't get any of the fancy animated effects with Matter, but that's not Govee's fault since the Matter protocol does not support this yet. All in all, if you're using this within Govee's ecosystem this product may be fantastic. But if you're going to sell this product on it's Matter support, i'm going to judge it accordingly, and at the moment the Matter support does function, but still needs some refinement. I would personally give this 3.5 stars, but since we have to round to whole stars, I think it's closer to 3 than 4
