LIFE CHANGING AF FR FR Don't sleep. Helpful instructions. Sleek product design. I'm obsessed.
Update: There's a learning curve. I feel like theres certain days in my cycle where this specific disc makes sense. And certain days where it doesn't. I always wear it with period panties. I feel like I get the most benefit from it with in the first 1-3 days and overnights, but sometimes I have a hard time inserting it and getting it to sit right. I think it has something to do with my cervix changing positions. Earlier today, it flipped. And later in the day, after readjusting it a few hours later, I coughed too hard and sprung a leak :( While at home, it's no big deal. But it would really suck if that happened or it auto-dumped on me out in world. I still feel like it definitely makes a huge difference with lessening my cramps though. I just think I need a wider, or rounder disc for later in my period. I've only used this disc with one cycle. But so far, it was a very life changing period. A year ago, I started with cups and found discs intimidating, but I recently went off BC after 10+years, like, 3 cycles ago. Ive been on every form of BC that exists, and I'm at a place in my life where I just want to connect with my body. I wanted to see how my cycle had changed over time, if at all... I got this specific disc, because I recently got a diaphragm for birth control. And the doctor said experience with a menstrual disc would help prepare me for diaphragm insertion. Also this is disc most resembles my diaphragm (the purple one in the pic). Anyway to make a long story short... I've used this thing once and am obsessed. My cycle didn't change from what I remember of my baseline. It's like clockwork. But I have changed. And how I care for myself during my period has changed and this little doo-dad has made a huge difference in my quality of life! I have had significantly less period pain than I've ever had in my entire menstruating life while using this wonderful little thing. I've told everyone that I could tell about how awesome it is. The only flaw I could see so far was... one time, as I was squatting down, it felt like it could leak. It didn't, but it felt like it could. I will update this after a few cycles to confirm my experience wasn't some kind of weird fluke//miracle. I have endo, adeno, I've had cysts, adhesions, laparoscopy, fibroids, polyps, iuds, sciatica, slipped discs, the whole shebang. So you can imagine how pleasantly surprised I was to not be in pain. I can't wait to have another period, so I can confirm if Halo is heaven sent! Who am I? Who even says that????

Not effective in my case
I’m not sure if it is from having a tilted uterus but this thing was not effective. First, it’s like putting in a wet noodle. The rim wasn’t sturdy enough for me to try to clean it and reinsert it at work (so more hastily than my initial morning insertion). But then when I realized later in the day I leaked I assumed it was fullish. Nope. Barely anything in it and it must have just glided right over the rim. I liked them all and feel of the material but sadly it didn't work for me

Very comfortable, but leaks
This is very comfortable, easy to insert and remove, and I love that it doesn’t suction, which can damage your pelvic floor. The problem with this is that I have been constantly leaking while wearing it, even after ensuring it’s in the correct placement. It’s a big bummer, I was really hoping this would be the one for me.

So Far, So Good
So far this is the best disc I've tried, certainly the most comfortable, and no leaks! I literally can't even feel it most of the time (which was an occasional issue with tampons, and a persistent issue with other discs). The rim is on the firmer side, and has an odd shape, but is also quite narrow - this combination seems to help it stay in place while also not putting pressure on anything or ending up causing pain or discomfort. The removal loop is an absolute must-have for me, and this one has grooves to make it easier to grasp - if it was longer and the basin was thicker, then I think this would be the perfect disc for me. Cons: the material that makes up the basin seems quite thin and flimsy - so far it's survived boiling and being worn for a day, but it still doesn't exactly instill me with confidence in its longevity. Also, while the rim is great after it's in place, its design makes inserting it a bit more difficult than something with a softer rim, and the first few time I used it I had to push it back in a couples times and make sure I had pushed it high enough to properly situate it. After that, it was smooth sailing. TL;DR - while discs are always a matter of personal preference and what works best for your body, this one is very reasonably priced and if you're searching for something that works for you, I recommend trying it.

Soft and comfortable, but it leaks
I really wanted to like this. I’ve tried a variety of discs including Cora, Flex, and Saalt, which are relatively easy to remove, but don’t hold much. I’m a heavy bleeder and wanted a cup that wouldn’t leave my hand covered in blood during removal (the Flex cup being the absolute worst with messy removal), and this cup mostly accomplishes that. The rim is soft and seems to contour well. The pull tab feels durable and makes it easy to remove this. But the same soft rim that feels comfortable can sometimes make insertion take a bit longer than expected. Also, this device leaks constantly. I have a low cervix and I’m not sure if that contributes or not, but I cannot wear this without also wearing a pad as backup. I’ve worn discs and cups for years and inserts this so that the lip rests securely above my pelvic bone. And yet, I find that after wearing this briefly, it invariably slips down a little during routine movements and we go right back to this leaking again. It only cost me $15, so I can’t complain too hard, but I am disappointed that I have to keep looking for another device to replace this one.

I've never used a disc pod before. and I tried this Halo menstrual disc pod. I had heard from friends that while menstrual discs or cups can be comfortable, they might be difficult to insert until you get used to them. That hesitation kept me from trying them for a long time. But honestly, I wish I had tried this disc sooner, it’s incredibly comfortable. I have a heavy flow, and every month I used to dread my period because I had to change pads or tampons multiple times a day, always worrying about leaks. I also tried menstrual shorts, but nothing compared to this disc. First off, it’s leak proof. On my third day, I used it for six hours straight without any leaks. It’s also a lot more comfortable and less humid than traditional products. Inserting the disc was easier than I expected. Despite being a single size, it fits perfectly, and I’m a mother of two. The disc looked big when I first received it, but the thin silicone folds down so small that it was no trouble at all from the first use. Plus, there’s no waste to dispose of in the bathroom, which is a nice bonus I hadn’t even considered before. This product has made such a difference for me, no more constant worry about leaks or discomfort. I highly recommend it.

Soy usuaria habitual de discos menstruales. Este no me convenció, hay algo en su forma que por el motivo que sea, mancho. Es el único con el que me pasa. Cada cuerpo es único y este no es para mí. Textura, suavidad del material perfecto. Forma... No para mí.

The easiest disc. Practical to use! I have tried others but by far this is the best due to the latch and material.

I have been using diva/moon style cups for years and thought I’d give this differently shaped one a go, unfortunately it didn’t meet requirements. If you’re used to wearing cups, you can definitely insert it with one hand but because it’s so wide, it doesn’t always open up inside so it only collects some of the blood and the rest slips past since it doesn’t form a seal, at least not on me but if you have given birth vaginally and are a bit wider in that area then this is probably the cup for you. I definitely wouldn’t recommend this cup for younger people or those who aren’t very wide down there since there isn’t enough room for it to open properly enough to form a seal. It’s a shame because it’s really easy to clean and transport but really a pain to remove without spilling the contents. For people such as myself, it is not usable at all since it lets blood past.
