I was struggling to find a decent looking bedside clock on Amazon, where most of the cheaper options seemed like cheap throwaways bound for the landfill. I just wanted something that was easily legible, minimalist, and could adequately dim so as to not bother me while trying to fall asleep at night.This checks all the boxes, and then some. Although the clock itself does not take up much space and is quite compact and flat, the digits are relatively large format making the clock easy to read from across the room, while simultaneously not being too big to glance at while in bed. The segmented digits are large, sharp, and uniformly backlit (unlike the clock faces you'd expect from a cheap digital clock like a Timex) leading to an incredibly clear and sleek display.Though I wish it had an auto-dimming feature, the manual dimming control is quite functional. The large, top-mounted snooze button doubles as a dimmer switch. You simply cycle through to the desired brightness (there are five levels, and the 6th turns the display off completely). The lowest setting is incredibly dim, and does not bother me in the slightest when trying to fall asleep.The alarm itself is quite functional, with multiple tones to choose from and several volume levels. The loudest is REALLY loud, probably too loud--they even warn you in the manual to avoid this setting at first since you might get startled. But I guess this is good if you're the type of person who could sleep through a bomb going off.The extra ambient light strip on the bottom of the display is a nice touch if you have the clock in your office or something, but I find it a bit too annoying to keep on in the bedroom even on the lowest brightness (the light strip's brightness control is separate from the actual clock display, which is nice). You can set it to several static colors or set it to an animated rainbow cycle. You can turn it off completely if this isn't for you.Not sure what else needs to be said. USB powered, battery backup, extra USB port on the back for charging. It's well designed and feature packed for the price.edit:note: The battery is only there to maintain the time in memory if you move the clock or lose power. It must be plugged into a USB power source to display anything. Doesn't affect me, but should be something to be aware of.

Surprisingly, this is my favorite alarm clock of all time. I bought it to have a loud alarm to wake me up at 3am to get ready for an early morning surgery. I love the different alarm sound choices along with the volume. The extra options to set brightness of the display or turn off completely along with the very cool light show selections were a bonus! I bought a 2nd one for my guest room. Nice quality and appearance and easy to set. Great value for the price and it has kept accurate time so far after 3 months of use.

This is a great little clock; it's inexpensive, attractive, easy to set up, and easy to read close-up or from across the room. It is also accurate and the time always agrees to the minute with the Google-generated time on my computer. The display can be set in a standard or 24 hour mode and the displayed information colors, alarm sounds and intensity are adjustable to your preferences; I own a couple of these little clocks and recommend them without reservation.

The 12/24 hour function is nice. The "night light" function won't be used by me. The numbers are too large. It's 3 feet from my face when I'm sleeping. It doesn't need to be this big, this bright, or this loud. But you can dim the display all the way off. So that's what I do while sleeping. The various alarms are ok, but very LOUD and high pitched. I use the quietest setting #1. Having all the buttons on the front is a BIG plus for me. They are somewhat intuitive, but I did need to consult the manual at first. Easy to set/unset and adjust settings after the initial tutorial. The numbers displayed could be half the size they are and still be effective, and I wish there was a brightness setting above completely dark that doesn't illuminate the whole room. And a 2nd alarm would be nice. Otherwise, it's a good value I think. Perfect for people who have poor vision and/or hearing.

My dad needed A clock he could view from across the room. This fit the bill perfectly. It's simple to use simple to set up. The dimming feature is great. He doesn't use the nightlite feature but it does work fine .The numbers are very large and easy to read without being overwhelming. Of course I bought it with the red numbers because red is the color you want if you want to sleep in the room. Exactly what he was looking for. I definitely would recommend.

I love the silver color of this clock, the other options are black with colored numbers. Truthfully, I would've liked colored numbers but I wanted the silver color of this and am so pleased with it. The numbers are huge and visible from across the room, even at the lowest setting. These are BRIGHT, big time! But they're dimmable, thank heavens! I adore the sound of birds so that's my chosen wake up sound. Even at the lowest setting it's a bit loud for me but it still puts a smile on my face every morning when it awakens me! Using this is intuitive, I only needed to see how to dim the numbers but everything else just made sense and worked beautifully. The only thing that I'd love to change, is make it with a dual alarm and auto setting so if they power goes out it automatically resets the time. But as is? It's perfection!

Very good alarm clock. You can put a battery in just in case the power goes off, your alarm still will go off without the screen, so it is reliable. Has a few different alarm sounds which us cool. You can change the color of the bar on the bottom, although the rainbow effect is really cool. You can turn down the brightness to really low. I don't like it that dim so I only turn it down once, but it can go really dim along with the bottom bar light for people that don't want a bright alarm clock screen piercing through the darkness and into their eyes making it hard to sleep. Alarm can go loud. Not much else to say. It works, and it works well for what an alarm clock is supposed to do. Well worth it I recommend getting this.
