Black Swan SG2 Silicone Grease, Clear, 1 oz

Brand new taps installed and they dripped. I could have cried. I thought the seller had Mickey Finned me, but helpfully he pointed out swarf can contaminate the cartridge. So this 50 year old nurse got on You Tube and mastered stripping tap cartridges and rebuilding them, lightly smearing this wonder stuff as I went. To my relief, I did it and all is well. Dripping stopped. You need so little, I swear one tin could cure every leaking tap in the nation. I’m just wondering if there’s any call for a Community Nurse / Leaking Tap Service?..

A bit expensive and you only need a tiny bit, but does the job nicely.

This was perfect for my task of trying to refit my soft close toilet seat hinges (I also had some video help from YouTube for the mechanics). The parcel arrived speedily. The tin was smaller than I had imagined but, then I started to realise just how much silicone grease was in it - my task took a very small fraction of the tin. Great experience.

The only type of grease you should use on plastic gears and cogs. Decent enough price, a little goes a long way. Fixed a few 8-Tracks and a few Compact Cassette players for cars, and this grease enables smooth operation of the internals.

Used this to lubricate the mechanism on the 2 front wheels on a Stokke pram. The wheels were not swiveling 360 degrees properly and after a bit of internet research I discovered that using a food standard grease was the remedy. Worked a treat and pram now works fine.
