We had a major burn that needed some wrapping, and this stuff is awesome. It's thick and breathable, but also absorbent (nobody tells you how much a burn "weeps"). I highly recommend this gauze, it works amazingly

The media could not be loaded. I was actually surprised how good this is. This sponge sucks in a lot. I tested it water in a bowl. It sucked in water quickly. The moment I see the pack, I can see that each one is packed in a tight compressed manner. There is no air inside each pack.Because I have 8 packs, I put one pack in each car, a bag that I carry outside whenever I go out with my kids and anywhere where I think a first aid may be needed. Each pack is lightweight. Each pack is very easy to open in the event of emergency. Each pack has a guide where to tear off the pack. I don't need a scissor or sharp object to open up a pack. I think even my kid can easily open up a pack.Supplement this with Bleedstop, I feel comfortable that I am ready for an emergency when I go out with my kids. When my kids have sport activities, anything can happen.

I opened a pack just for review and out of my own curiosity. My experience is with this type of product is limited to the gauze I have in hand, so a sample and experience of one.First the package is well sealed with a powerful vacuum. There are notches in the vacuum bag to make it easier to open, the notched area is not really highlight to stand out. Mine were purchased a few months (oct, 2024)ago (MFG date of March 2024) and have a expiration date of Feb, 2029.Removing the gauze from the bag was easy enough and it comes out in a tight compressed brick, which took me a few seconds to get it to peel apart. I wish I had other brands to compare it to. I found it not ideal in this aspect , I wish Z-folds peeled open easier.The package says 6 ply's, when I peel apart the plys into single layer I count 4 layers, so take that for whatever it is.

The packets are easy to open in the event of an emergency, and the gauze itself is a loose weave and expands to 4.5” x 4.1 yards. These are a great option for those who need to pack or wrap any kind of wound/injury. The gauze has actually come in handy for my MIL who recently had surgery. It functions exactly as I expected and seems to be plenty durable and absorbent. The size of the packets are relatively small so they take up minimal space. The price point for the set is on par with other products on the market. Overall, if your looking for something to have on hand or to put into a first aid kit then this is a great set to consider as it provides multiple sterile packs of 4 yards of gauze in each which is ideal for a wide variety of different situations you may come across. Would recommend.

I got these for a heavy duty first aid kit, so they have not been opened or used. However they are a good size, and are very securely wrapped, so I can feel confident they'll stay sterile over the months in a vehicle first-aid case.
