I bought this to use to make my own filters for a cat water fountain. One thing I didn't realise is it's like a sponge style filter on one side, but on the other side it's a more dense fabric style filter which makes it a little difficult to get scissors through, so if you want to use it for this, make sure you have a sharp knife or are patient. I'd still give it five stars though as it's exactly as described and does a great job.

Fluval C4 poly foam is required for my Fluval C4 system. WOW this filter is the best working one that I have used yet.The filter goes in pretty light in weight and when it is time to replace it you won't believe how heavy it is with dirty from the fish.I would recommend this product to other fish tank user's.

Keeps my tank from looking murky. My fish appreciate it. Great value for my fish filter system.
