Objective: Buy a roti maker Since maids are not allowed into our house due to the COVID crisis, Reason: Feeling guilty as my mom and wife were making rotis for a large family of 6 since March last year. Result: After a lot of confusion over Roti Makers on Amazon, we chose Bajaj - all our small home appliances, fan, mixie, sandwich maker are Bajaj. Surprised my mom/wife with the Roti Maker. Initial reaction shock from the ladies on why I bought something for such a simple chore. Day 1: Followed all the rules and saw the video: Rotis extremely crisp and my ears red from listening & interfering Day 2: Saw the video again, realized we missed a step. Rotis better but did not swell Day3: Let the ladies do it on their own and saw puffed rotis coming out on their own. By Day 5, we had experimented with Khakhra, chana roti, missi roti, bajra roti, potato and onion roti, ajwain and salt roti etc. Each felt like it was coming straight out of the tandoor. Day 6: Fights going on for who will make the roti. All cautions on dough has to be fresh, little wet etc etc were thrown out of the wind as NOW My Mom, my wife my kids, would sit together and eat. We just had to make dough balls from the dough prepared even a night ago. Each dough ball takes about a min unless its a Missi Roti or Makki ki roti dough. we just apply ghee on top or butter post the roti being made. The result of eating fresh SUPER hot Rotis has ensured that all of us are back on the dining table (where the Roti maker rests) instead of everyone going at their own pace for lunch, and using the microwave to heat but never together. My Mom, wife and I have each asked each other several times "why on earth did we not buy the Roti Maker before, and make our lives simpler and better. Before I end, I should also like to thank the Bajaj family for helping me within 15 days of buying the Roti Maker. My son switched on the Roti Maker by accident and post heating the two sides got jammed as there was a little plastic foam which melted and got stuck between both plates. Its there for protection so that the two hot plates dont scratch each other. Imagine my surprise when the head of Bajaj Vacco himself spoke to one of his engineers and gave me the solution. Just to save me the trouble of going and handing it to the service centre. This level of support is undoubtedly the best I have received. Two months later, the Roti Maker is still on proud display on our dining table, and we count our lucky stars that we ended up buying Bajay Vacco's roti maker which is sturdy and a super product. I'm more than happy to answer questions to buyers as we also faced a confusing day in which there was a lot of giggling over crisp rotis before we got used to the Roti maker. This is probably the most ignored appliance in anyones kitchen but NOW the most important one in our family. God bless you Bajaj Vacco and your service team!!!

Terrible experience. I bought this roti maker expecting good quality, but it started malfunctioning within a week. It doesn’t heat evenly and stops working randomly, poor performance, and unreliable build quality. I’m very disappointed with this purchase.”. Total waste of money. Please don’t buy this product.

I have bought this product twice within a gap of 2 months, one for me and the second one is for my mother, as I was satisfied using the product bought for me that’s why I ordered a second one but unfortunately the second one has heating problem, it’s not getting properly heated as it should be(as like the one which I have for me), so unable to prepare the rotis as well, it takes almost 5 mins to prepare one roti whereas it should take maximum 2-3 minutes for each one and also the rotis become too hard to be eaten. So returned the second one. So if the product is not damaged like I receive for the second one , then it is a very good product for making chapati or roti. It is really unpredictable whether you receive a good one or damaged one, that’s why you’ll also see a mixed review for this product, as the work function is fully depends on how much the product is getting heated.

So, I decided to order this Bajaj Vacco Roti Maker on Amazon over other similar brands and am very happy with this purchase. Now my review: Simply 5 stars for the product for its durability, its application and for its performance. The key to making good Chapattis is to make the right quality of dough. There are lots of videos available on You Tube regarding how to make good Rotis using a Roti Maker, which one must watch before venturing in this unknown arena. The dough must be stickier than the regular dough prepared for the Tava Rotis. This product is very durable, sturdy and compact. Mr. Ajay will walk you through the process of making Rotis if you are having any problems and his mobile number is listed in each comment which he has personally written in the comment section of each one of the customers’ reviews. One final thought: Please don’t blame the roti maker, if you can’t make decent rotis. It is like this, If you are in the market for purchasing new car, no matter which car you purchase, if you don’t know how to drive a car or never learned the right driving techniques, it is not car manufacturer’s fault. Similarly, some skills are required to make the right quality of dough which you can learn by watching several videos on You Tube and improve the quality of rotis with patience and practice. I simply recommend this Bajaj Vacco to anyone who wants to make decent Rotis at home but is not skillful enough to make Rotis by the traditional method. Very good product indeed. 5 Stars to Bajaj Vacco and 5 stars to Amazon. 6-months update on this product: Working just fine with almost every other day usage. With practice, I have also become skillful at making rotis using this Bajaj Vacco Roti Maker. Very sturdy built. I have faced no problems until now. Stay tuned for 1-year update.....

Substandard item, don't buy. Base of socket pin started to melt with in 6 months. Replaced the entire cord and pin since it was not suitable to withstand the heat. After few days, the circuit breaker trips whenever the chapati maker is on. Eventually, it ceased to work prematurely. Waste of money.

There is no automatic cut off .so the food or chapati become overheat and burnt.So the permormance doesn't meet expectation. There no easy return only exchange with exact product.So I haven't got solution of my problem .I will suggest to buy any other brand with atleast option of easy return and good performance.
