Good starter kit for MTG
This is a very nice starter kit for two or more players, although the card pool in it is a bit on the thin side. It comes with several pre-made decks, two play boards that map out where cards go on the battlefield, and also has a physical rulebook, which is rare for MTG these days as Wizards has been fanatically pushing their online play platform (Arena) over paper Magic. For old fogies like me who don't play online MTG and prefer something tangible, this is great for teaching new players or getting your hands on a physical rulebook. There are several decks of varying colors, with some decent cards (but no really powerful rares). Still, for about $25 I feel like it was a good investment, just for the newer cards, rulebook and playing field boards. There's also room enough in the box to stash some more cards, tokens, etc. if you so desire. Recommended.

Great for new players
Great cards for a new MTG player. Created my first Commander deck out of cards in this collection. Card box included is also nice (see photo attached). Recommend for brand new players.

Excellent Value Fun!
Enjoyed this set a lot. I buy boxes to use and sell, and I get a lot of value out of this set. I just started playing Magic and while Foundations wasn’t the set I started with, playing Arena was mostly these cards. Cracking the packs, the cards were immediately recognizable. There are some STOMPy cards in this set, and staples for almost any deck nowadays. I got a doubling season that really adds some STANK to a counters deck, makes you immediately disliked at the table. The main chunk of the deck though is still extremely playable, and most importantly FUN! For the price, and especially if you can find it <$130, it’s a great experience with good chances to pull cards that will improve your deck! If you’re new and want easy play options, grab the Foundations Jumpstart packs. 2 packs, crack them, shuffle up, play a game. There’s also good cards in those sets as well!

Great for Limited players and new players alike!
JumpStart as a format is super fun, and is a rather low-cost entry point for new players! (Assuming 1 deck a person, these go quite a long way for the money) Ended up getting multiple mythic packs along with a planeswalker and lots of great cards. If you're looking for a new way to play MTG Limited or are new to the game, I would recommend this as an option. I will say, in my box, the color distribution was a little off, as I think we ended up only getting 2 black packs out of everything else.

Really Nice Starter Set!
I originally gave this product a 2 star review because I thought I was missing the 8 jumpstart decks, but then my friend pointed out that those decks are within the 2 larger decks and not separate items, so I'm now giving it a whole 5 stars because there's nothing wrong with it. Was able to get it for $18, so not bad at all. I tried playing MtG several years ago but at the time I just couldn't comprehend but now I feel I can at least learn the basics with my friends so this should help me.
