As close to perfect as a third part replacement can get! I was worried about ordering a third party replacement part, but with dyson forever out of stock of theirs, i didn't really have any other option. I'm so happy to say it is a great fit. It goes in easy and comes off easy. The bristles have a good swivel to them they move smoothly and don't get stuck. The bristles are also the correct firmness. Great for thick hair! And the airflow is great! It works jsut as good as the original. It feels as good of quality as the original in my opinion. I couldn't be happier with this replacement piece. There is one flaw to it however, that i am personally able to overlook, but would still like to talk about. The part where it clicks into the dyson seems to be ever so slightly longer than the original. Meaning, when it's connected, there is the smallest gap between the brush head and the actual dyson styling tool. You wouldn't notice anything out of the ordinary by just looking at it. But if you're not careful with keeping your hair in the bristles, you can get a stand or two stuck in that miniscule gap. I didn't have that problem with the original attachment. I don't really care personally, but thought I should mention it in case that is something relevant to other people. Besides that, I still firmly believe this is a quality replacement and worth what I paid for!

I have the Dyson Origin which only comes with 3 attachments, which are great, but I also wanted to give the firm smoothing brush a try. I wanted to buy the official dyson attachment but they don't ship to my current country of residence, so I thought I would try this one. It's a bit of a looser fit than my other dyson attachments but doesn't feel like it will come off or anything. I can't comment how good it is compared to the original, but so far happy with the purchase

My wife was telling me how hard it was for her to straighten her hair using the regular Dyson brush, but now with this tool she takes like 10 minutes to get ready

I like to call these "Budget Attachments", since they're way cheaper than the branded attachments and work just as well. After the initial investment into the Dyson Airwrap, I asked my wife if she was OK with these types of attachments, and she was ok to try, as long as I used my hobby funds to buy this because she didn't want to waste money on cheap stuff that could potentially not work as intended. This one works great for her frizzy and semi curly hair (her hair frizzes a bit in hot and dry weather), so after giving this a try, it has lessened the amount of frizziness that she tends to get in the summer. The attachment allows the air to circulate between the hair strands, which dries the hair quicker and limits the amount of heat damage that you expose it to, and the bristles help dethatch the broken and loose hairs from sticking to the other strands and causing static buildup. I'm not sure what the Firm is in reference to, but probably the bristles as they don't bend like some of her combs, but is more rigid, kind of like a barber's comb.

I have a generic brand Airwrap, and this snaps on and fits just as it should. I love that they offer different versions for different textures of hair. I have thicker, coarse hair that is naturally a little wavy. This attachment helps will initial straightening of my hair and dries it at the same time. When I use this, I do still follow up with a straightener to get it extra straight and help control the frizz. Using this vs. a regular separate blow dryer and brush definitely decreases the amount of frizz my hair has. It's sturdy and the bristles have held up well over uses. It's a good price and overall a great investment for anyone who owns an Airwrap (name brand or generic!).

Hair was not as soft as with my larger version but I know the smaller head will take time to get used to. Fits nice in my suitcase

I have the softer smoothing brush as well and this works just as well as that one to help me grab my hair and keep it straight and smooth as it dries. It fits my original Dyson Airwrap with no fit issues, feels well made and has good airflow. I think I prefer the softer version, which is essentially the same build as this one, but likely because I have fine hair and find that it just works better for my type of hair. That being said, it still works exactly as it is expected. Also, the color is pretty on point with the original grey. So, I’m happy to add this to my growing list of Dyson attachments, especially as I’ve seen different Dyson brand attachments unavailable for purchase more than once.
