I do a lot of network troubleshooting and having this is a must! More laptops have removed ethernet ports to make them thinner and thinner. So connecting directly to a switch or router with this to a USB-C port on a laptop or Apple device works well. The cord seems thick and sturdy and can endure. I like the housing which is vented to dissipate any heat. The LED's are nice to see as well to confirm connectivity. Another affordable tool from Acer!

Modern laptops usually omit the RJ-45 ethernet connector to decrease case height, so a USB ethernet dongle becomes the preferred (only?) way to connect to a wired network. This adapter provides full-rate wired ethernet connectivity to my M3 MacBook. It has been a reliable performer and done everything I've asked it to do, under MacOS, Linux, and Windows. It's pretty much a no-brainer, with two observations: (1) The adapter gets way hotter than I would have thought. The little metal case, slightly finned to resemble a heat sink, could use some better cooling. Not sure if this will affect the expected life span. (2) For whatever reason, the USB-C connector on this adapter is UNUSUALLY TIGHT, so that it actually takes some strength to attach and remove it from a laptop. This has decreased a bit with repeated use, but it's still worth mentioning. Keeping those details in mind, if you need wired connectivity for a modern laptop, this is a fine purchase.

I needed a way to connect my ethernet cable to my laptop which does not feature an Ethernet port. This gives me the connection I need. I have owned many Acer computers and monitors and have always been happy with the brand as far as quality and function. This product works for what I need. The one downside to this product is that it looks like it has metal casing in the picture but it is a faux-metal design made of plastic. It would have been better to have the metal casing for quality and durability. I wish Acer would actually change the design to real aluminum for that reason, and I would be happy to pay a dollar or two more for it. But otherwise very happy.

this was absolutely plug and play on my chrome book. no issues. MUCH faster than the wifi.

Good cable length. This is functional for using ethernet connected to Android. Hit and miss on some functionality with my home phone work great on a Samsung Galaxy phone that I have at work. Using the adapter for normal usage does get slightly warm but I think that's normal during usage. Build qualities really looks good solid. I've used this on other people's Android tablets also gets decent speed in public using ethernet to clip into a hot spot mobile. It's hard to tell which phones work well or maybe certain apps need data only to make the app work in which I don't think any adapter would work when using cell phone data service. The Galaxy a22 Samsung at work phone super fast no issues of any kind solid use of the adapter full speed and amazing downloads with this adapter. Hope this helps

Acer USB C to Ethernet Adapter I upgraded to new pc with only one Ethernet port, my two previous pc's had dual Ethernet ports. I have numerous IP cams connected to two separate routers. This works perfect with simple plug and play with Windows 11. Now all cams are visible again with iSpy. Update 6-25 First one died in about 6 months. Changing to 3 stars for product because it died in 6 months but still 5 stars for support for getting another device to me very quickly. Thanks Shirley! Update 7-15-25 Three weeks after receiving replacement, it's dead. These are obviously junk!

Functioning perfectly, however the metal casing can scratch your gear, so don't just throw it in a bag with your other products if you care about their condition!
