I've had multiple irobot roomba vacuums and mops. They were all terrible, took too much time and effort to use, made more messes than they cleaned; I hated them within a month. This Roborock has been absolutely amazing. I've had it for about 7 months now and have no complaints. It cleans my home twice a day, vacuum and mop. It yells at me to empty/refill the water bins every 3rd day. It yells at me when it gets itself stuck or needs any other type of attention. It still runs quietly and nothing has broken on it. I bought extra mop pads that I cycle through weekly. I've only had to replace the vacuum bag twice. I just recently put a new side brush on. Every other week I remove the hair that gets wrapped around the rollers, and once a month I do a maintenance check on everything. After having an irobot roomba, I absolutely LOVE the water tank sizes. I would have to refill the roomba (tiny tank within the robot) just for it to finish my home. The Roborock is just so EASY and reliable; I love it. The room mapping is detailed and I love the feature that allows me to create schedules for it to clean certain parts of the house at certain times of the day so it's never in the way. The first month took some patience as I had to add in blocked off areas in the app for spots where it would constantly get stuck. But once that was all done, it went off all on its own without issue. Works amazing with pets that have short hair and its amazing with cat hair.

Pro:* Pretty quiet during vacuuming and dust bin emptying compared to others I’ve used* Suction power is pretty impressive* Mapping is accurate* Battery cycle is very impressive* It does a great job of self cleaningCons:* While the side brush does a great job it is a bit aggressive* If it detects an object it will not rescan the area to verify if it’s still there or not when it comes back around to actually clean that pathAll in all this is a pretty impressive robot with an appropriate price tag. The kick out mop pad and side brush do an amazing job and the AI performs much better than others tested in that regard. The methodology the vacuum approaches rugs is great (working the perimeters before actually vacuuming).I am very pleased so far with this purchase and I believe it will perform equally well in most homes.I have three cats and a dog. I do not have carpeted floors but I do have area rugs.

I really don’t think I could hate these any more than I already do. I bought two of these during prime day and things started off going well and I was in love with these units, but after about a month, they both just stopped working properly. I run them on deep clean cycle with the highest suction setting every single day and they seem to leave my floors looking even worse than they started. I have a golden retriever and even with running these daily in addition to vacuuming with my regular Dyson every few days, all these vacuums do is ball up the dog hair and leave it on my rugs and hardwoods. I don’t see that they are actually sucking up the hair at all. The anti-tangle brushes are a JOKE. Every two days, I’m pulling the brushes fully out of the machines to untangle dog hair. The mop leaves streaks all over my floors even when using the Roborock specific cleaning fluid. I have tried adjusting the mop wash and dirt emptying settings, mopping with only water, I have changed all the brushes and parts, and nothing works. Not to mention the obstacle avoidance is non existent. They get stuck in charging cords, giant extension cords, socks, big dog toys, king size pillows, literally everything no matter the size. I haven’t seen them avoid ONE THING. I feel like I’m spending my days running around after these getting them unstuck from ridiculous things and sucking up hairballs with my stick vacuum. Just more work for me. One unit kept saying the dirt receptacle on the dock was clogged and I ended up having to return it to Roborock and they did send me a replacement unit, but who has the time to keep sending these giant units back and forth? If you have pets or other people in your household who may leave something laying in the floor occasionally, do yourself a favor and look elsewhere.
