Awesome three in one board.Chess checks and backgammon.And nice playing board for all three.

The seems like it would be good for the kids grandparents to play period. Not the best quality, but all three games and magnetics of the pieces on sliding all over the place.

My boys love playing chess and checkers on the go but it’s always a pain to travel with. I wanted to find something that they could play while we travel and this worked great. The magnets held the pieces in place enough while we were moving and they liked it

For all the fancy variations on gaming boards and uber realistic or ai-powered chess sets out there, I really just needed a good quality, portable, magnetic chess set. This set totally checks those boxes. It's got the perfect footprint for portability, and it's so simple to pack this board in or out for road trips or picnics.The pieces and the board itself look awesome and are good quality for the price. The magnetic feature is a must have, even if you're not planning on playing on the move -- it's just awesome for having a stable, solid feeling board.This board will definitely be our go-to whether we're taking chess to a friend, or just want something to quickly set up at the coffee table.

Great set to pass time. Comes with 30 checker pieces, a full set of chess pieces plus two extra queens, and two dice. Everything seems to be made of wood. All the pieces are easily stored inside the board which doubles as storage box. It has two side locks to keep it from opening, and feels sturdy enough to carry around as needed. This also came with instructions both in paper form and in the back of the main package.I'm overall happy with this toy. I got it to teach my 5yo how to play chess and checkers. The pieces are big enough for him to hold and move without an issue. I just wish that all the pieces were magnetic, and not just the chess ones. As my kid will accidentally knock checker pieces out of their spot while playing.

this is ideal for traveling chess players. We replaced another we had and it is significantly better in comparison. The magnets are strong and the board is durable. We still keep it in another pouch to protect from any water damage but it comes all together and ready to go as needed.

I got this because it's magnetic. I also like the ability to be able to play backgammon. It's nice that the pieces are stored in a bag and not directly in the board itself. It makes it easier to remove and keep the pieces together since the storage container is also the playing field. The magnets work well and are not just adhered to the the bottom of the pieces. However, the checkers pieces aren't magnetic and I don't like that they aren't. I want all the game pieces to be magnetic. I thought I'd just stick a magnet to the bottom of the checkers pieces but nope, that magnet wasn't strong enough to work with the the board. STRONG magnets are needed for them to work with the board because the wood is thick. I see now that you can't easily do that with the checker pieces. Still, this game set travels and works well. This set has also gotten my 11 year wanting to learn and play chess regularly. That alone is worth it, even if the checker pieces aren't magnetic.

The magnets in the chess pieces work well. They do tend to clump together in the package, but that's not a problem. It's odd that there is an extra Queen piece for each color, but better to have an extra piece than not enough! The wooden pieces are a reasonably good quality, especially for the price.The checker / backgammon pieces are NOT magnetic (I wish they were), and are a bit smaller than I'd like, but they work.There are no instructions or reference guides in the game if you forget a rule. Instructions are ONLY printed on the exterior of the product's "box", which is thin and barely better than cardstock (it ripped when first opening it), so that won't be sticking around. The closed game board keeps all of the pieces inside, so it can be stored like that. I do wish it had a small carrying handle to be used when closed to make for easier travel.Overall, this provides good value for the price!
