Nice quality
It’s well made. It’s kind of hard to set up accurately probably because the fence is relatively short compared to the lengths of a large frame but it’s stable once set up.

Great Sander, but could be better.
As noted by another reviewer here, the table is made of two pieces joined together in the middle and apparently the table is not milled flat after joining the two pieces. I sent back the first one as it had a very obvious dip in the middle of .022"/.559mm. What was worse, the trim on the front was above the level of the table creating more of a gap. The second one was not milled flat either, but it only had a .008/.203mm dip which was close enough for an acceptable joint. Not exactly what I'd advertise as a precision machine with a premium price. That said it's a very useful tool. I did not test the run-out of the wheel because it already had a sanding disk attached, but turning it with a slight gap between the disk and a straight edge it appears to be acceptably flat. Bottom line - a great tool that serves it purpose well, but could be even better if it had been manufactured with tighter tolerances. Even with having to return the first sander (thank you Amazon Prime return policy) I am giving it 5 stars because even though I had issues with the first tool, to me it is invaluable to true up joints, and there is really no other comparable tool I'm aware of.Update - I recommend replacing the very coarse 80 grit sanding disk it comes with. Amazon has great replacement discs like 10" CLOTH BACKED PSA ADHESIVE SANDING DISC 120 GRIT - 2 DISC PACK BY PEACHTREE WOODWORKING PW6079 or 12" CLOTH BACKED PSA ADHESIVE SANDING DISC 150 GRIT - 2 DISC PACK BY PEACHTREE WOODWORKING PW6085 if you want want a smoother joint and/or less aggressive material removal.

Quick set up good quality for a reasonable price! Glad I bought it!
This was much better than I anticipated. It comes pre-mounted on a heavy duty board. Well packaged for shipping with the wheel secured to the base. The unit has enough mass to be stable but not so heavy that you can’t move it out of the way if limited for space. Basic and easy to use but very efficient. Other 45° sanding disc units for picture frame molding sell for $600+. For a fraction of the amount, this unit does the job very nicely. I will say that it may not be ideal for large frame (bigger than 16x20) projects but for small basic frames it works very well.

A solid benchtop tool.
Unusually effective. Wasn't sure what to expect when I ordered this but I was pleasantly surprised to find that this works really well. The sanding wheel is heavy steel so it has this flywheel like stability and inertia that makes the sanding process smooth and accurate. The overall construction is very sturdy so you can put some muscle into it if needed. It is designed for 45deg corners but it is easy to remove the guides and clamp a wood guide at any angle to the steel table. I've been using this a lot with oak and the sandpaper is holding up well with the cleaning block they include. A really useful tool to have if you don't have space, or don't want the noise, of a power disk sander.

Squares off my miters. Wish they had other grits.
I've had this unit for about 8 months and it does what its says. It makes my corners come together well, but sometimes I think the grit of the wheels (80 grit) is to coarse.Because the grit is coarse, the path left behind on my finished corner is a little deep. When I put my two mitered corners together they fit, but i can see some minimal gap that a fussy fart, like myself, feels the need to put some minor filler in.This only costs me about an extra three minutes, and I am not a production framer, but it might be a big deal for someone who does multiple frames.Other than this small drawback, the sander is all metal and well built for many years of service.I love it.

Way over priced
Bought a cheaper “used cosmetic damaged” that has significant damage but didn’t test till too late. Very expensive for what it does. Very easy to use

Expensive but gives quality results
Expensive, but a great product for getting crisp edges. Needs some patience and a reasonable amount of strength to turn the sanding disk, but gives great results

Indifferent quality
The disk bearing was not concentric so the disc sanded on only one half of the rotation. The abrasive disc supplied was 80 grit which is too coarse for a smooth mitre joint. It's a great idea, but let down by the quality of build and the choice of abrasive. 120 grit abrasives are available for this 10 inch disk and are better suited to smooth mitres.

Great Item for framing
Good item. Works well for the micro adjustment needed for final assembly of frames. The sandpaper that comes with it seems a bit corse forthe job but should be fine as it gets worn in. Well built.
