Worked perfectly!
After a lot of google, I determined that my lid switch was causing my washer to not work properly. I bought this part and used YouTube to guide me on how to replace it and now my 17 yr old washer is working perfectly again! It was super easy to install. If I can do it, anyone can because I’m not good with fixing things!

Cheap fix
Almost bought a factory replacement part for $40 plus $10 shipping. And if a repairman replaced it the cost would had been over $200. Luckily I found this switch on Amazon, delivered in less than 24 hours. In 15 minutes had my Maytag back up and running washing clothes. For only $11. Win, win!

Fixed my 10± year old washer!
It was half the price of appliance parts stores, a third price of retail and was identical to the OEM part that I was replacing. Such a quick and easy fix that saved me from needing to buy a new clothes washer. I learned that a these switches can easily go bad or over time not seat itself perfectly causing a seemingly bricked washer. This switch should always be your FIRST item to check for functionality of a non-agitating/spinning washer!

Cheap junk! DO NOT BUY
I ordered this because the picture had the same brand as the part I was replacing. What arrived was not that brand. I am ok with generic if it works but that isn’t this! It shorted out and quit working within 30 days of install. See my picture. It melted the wiring harness and now I get to buy 2 new parts. Lucky me!! This is a safety hazard and poor construction. Buy somewhere else.
