Very fun kit and well worth the money!!
This kit provides everything you need to make the full project, with extra tools and supplies left over when you are finished!! The instructions in the included book are clear and easy to follow, if you are familiar with patterns. If not, there are video tutorials from start to finish. I did have some trouble loading the page from the QR code, but if that happens, just keep refreshing, it will eventually open properly. The instruction book can be kept and added to your stash! The yarn is comparable to a prominent brand that starts with a W but is a lighter weight (just as good though)! The value of this kit is better in my opinion, because you get scissors and two projects (the animal and the berry). The W brand costs $25 for a single project, no hook, no scissors, no instruction book. You have to pay $5 for the hook and $5 for each accessory kit if you want them. So this kit is DEFINITELY worth your money. I also think the projects are more detailed and cute as well! For instance, while I love the W brand kits, the designs are mostly egg shaped with ears or arms or wings, depending. My only complaint is that the metal of the hook I received was a bit scratchy (the same can be said for most hooks I have received with W brand kits. You can either file the hook with soft grit sand paper, a wool sponge, or use your own hook. The hook in my photo here is my own plastic hook in the same size the kit came with. Overall, I am SUPER happy and will absolutely be collecting more of these kits. Thank you!! The last picture (turtles), the left one is Mewaii brand, the right one is Woobles.

Super cute kit!
Mewaii Crochet Kit for Beginners, Crochet Animal Kit with Step-by-Step Video Tutorials, Knitting Starter Kit for Kids Adults with 40%+ Pre-Started Yarn Content, DIY Crochet Gifts(Duck with Swim Ring) ($20.99) This was ordered for a 14 year old who had never crocheted before. They were able to follow the video instructions (this also comes with a QR code for video instructions) and was able to complete this product within a week (working a little each day on it). Once they learned the basics and terminology the rest was fairly easy. It is super cute with a lot of leftover yarn so a second (or maybe third) one can be made too. I asked what they thought of the process. They said it was fun as a complete beginner but would not recommend to anyone under the age of 12 to do all on their own.

Probably not the best kit for beginners
This was a good kit, but I don't think it's easy for beginners. This was my first time crocheting, and I was confused. I had to play the instructions video on 0.25 speed and multiple times to follow it in the beginning. The instructions videos website was also pretty frustrating to use for me on my iPad. But the kit was complete, and the finished product was super cute. Although I didn't make the bamboo, just the panda.

A mediocre kit. For intermediates with good eyes.
I snapped a photo so you could see the final product. It took me about 5 or 6 hours to complete, but admittedly I am a slow crocheter. I am however not a beginner. I'd say I am juuuuust experienced enough to complete this kit. This kit is definitely not a beginner kit, even though it did have a pre-started piece. The written instructions while perfectly OK for the crocheting part are absolutely trash for the assembly. If you tried to do it all straight from the written instructions you'd have had a very hard time. Also, a warning, this pattern does not work up in spirals, but uses the Sl-ch1 thing at the end of each round to connect it and add height. I don't actually understand why they chose to do this. If done right, that means the unicorn will have a seam on it. While very annoying, since this pattern does have some color changes, they did come out a little smoother than they would have if the pattern omitted Sl-ch1 The videos do an OK job of walking you through how to do the Sl-ch1...which is good because that is one thing I never have done before when making amigurumi. The videos are...I have a few things to say. First they do go through the entire kit. That is a positive thing. However they use the white yarn and the background is white so it's hard to see. The woman who is demonstrating doesn't always keep her hands completely in focus though...usually at the part where you really need to see what she is doing. The verbal instructions are....I'm sorry, they're trash. Whomever did the translation, if they used a person and not just Google translate did a terrible job. The verbal instructions are sparse at best and not very helpful. It isn't a person guiding you through, but one of those very annoying computer generated overly cheerful tik-tok voices. I needed to watch them for the assembly because the written instructions for the assembly are absolutely garbage. I had to watch the sewing otherwise I never would have finished the project. It made me look back very wisfully at the Woobles tutorials which are so insanely thorough and well done. You are not getting Woobles level quality on the videos. The yarn is not beginner yarn like some of the other kits this company sells. It does split. The pattern uses a fingering weight yarn (read, very thin), though thankfully all of the yarn came precaked so you could pull from the center. If you have bad eyes, this kit is definitely not for you. You will get eyestrain even if you have amazing eyes. This is basically thick thread. The kit came with a 2.25mm hook which is SO SMALL. The hook isn't that bad though. The yarn didn't split all that much, but it did split. The hook is a metal ergonomic hook. The yarn is not beginner yarn like some of the other kits this company sells. It does split. This kit came with *almost* everything you need to complete the kit. Hook, rainbow, pink, and white yarn, stuffing, a plastic tapestry needle, and even a few stitch markers. It also had yarn snips....but they were possibly they were not even close to sharp....they were as sharp as a dull spoon. Possibly the dullest scissors I have ever used. The kit either didn't have or was missing black yarn to make the cute eyelashes, but I had some laying around so I used that. The final product is very tiny. I have very small hands and it fit sitting up easily in the palm of my hand. And it's about the height of my hand. I just took out my little Susan Bates gauge and swatch ruler and it measures from bottom to top of the horn about 14cm (about 4 and 1/2 inches) high and about 8cm (about 3 inches) wide. My yarn tension is farely loose so if you are a tight crocheter yours may be smaller than that. It looks cute from the front, but kinda weird from the back. The box explicitly says you can't sell the final product. However if you live in the US, the US has the right of first sale so you can sell the direct product of the kit with no consequences.

Adorable Duck!
Cute duck! Good instructions for a beginner. More than enough good quality beginner yarn that doesn't fray or ravel. Nice, soft stuffing. Nice colors, true to the photo. Good hook and supplies. I won't hesitate to buy a Mewaii kit. I already bought the turtles. Good value for the money. As good as the popular brand beginner kits and a lot cheaper! I didn't view the video, as I have a little experience crocheting. I'm relearning after not doing it for about 30 years! Buy it! You'll have fun seeing it come to life!

Not low sew
The instructions were easy to follow and the end result is adorable. The only drawback would be the amount of sewing required.
