THIS WAS EASY TO DO ON MY OWN!! the directions was pretty straight forward ...my battery wasnt charging found out my battery was dead and needed a new one ....stores was gonna charge me $200 and i said oh no lol i can do this myself and now my macbook is charging just fine ( MAKE SURE TO GET THE RIGHT ONE FOR YOUR MACBOOK TYPE I HAD TO RETURN AND ORDER NEW BECAUSE THE LAST ONE WASNT THE RIGHT ONE

Battery installation was easy with the instructions and tools I received with the battery. Make sure to calibrate the battery after installation. Other than that the battery is perfect holds a charge and takes a long time to drain so far so good.

Worked! This is a battery and the full kit with instructions and video of how to do it. Make sure you watch the video and be VERY CAREFUL with the tiny components. The battery and speakers that you have to remove to install the new battery and glued down with an adhesive—-if the adhesive removal breaks, you will have to remove the battery and speakers with force. Make sure you don’t damage the speakers but it doesn’t matter if you damage the old battery.

doesn't hold a charge for very long and reports very inaccurate battery information. poor battery quality and seems to die too quickly, well before battery is depleted. random shutoffs too. installation was tedious, but the instructions helped!

Perfect fit and works great. Worth the price. I would HIGHLY recommend wearing magnifying glasses as the screws are so tiny, they are very difficult to see and they are magnetic causing an issue to reinstall them. I don't think the installation of the screws was as easy as it shows in the video.

Battery works all tools needed are in the box , I can’t say how long it will last of course but for 55$ this is a steal …local shop was charging 180 to replace…easy pesy install as well

It's a really great battery, just as good as the original. My MacBook feels brandnew, with the great battery life now. The tools have done their job perfectly fine. Would recommend.

This is the second Asmark Macbook battery I've installed via Amazon. This one was for a Macbook Air 2020 M1 (the battery for the same year's intel version is different, don't get caught out!) Very clear installation instructions on video are linked as well as a good picture guide. It's important to heed the instructions regarding being careful not to thread the screws (and note the purple T3 screwdriver is for the internal screws, the blue one is for the external screws - the green one also supplied isn't used at all for some reason!). Here are a few things not mentioned - The battery is glued on as previous models but way easier and safer to remove. Unfortunately the flat speaker modules which also need removing were less easy as the glue strip just snaps - you may be luckier but the instructions make it look so easy! I had to resort to old-fashioned solvent and prying which took longer than it needed to but fortunately the speaker modules are fairly robust obviously taking care. The teeny tiny screws holding the trackpad and speaker leads are challenging to screw back in, you need good light and a steady hand plus great care not to lose them. One hour is about right and the skill level isn't too difficult for anyone with a reasonable amount of common sense. Beware not to use the wrong screwdriver or to overforce any screw (also if you press too hard you can slip and scratch the metal case). To be fair they do reinforce this point on numerous occasions, if you have better quality tools it's advisable to use them but the ones supplied do the job satisfactorily. The battery only starts working after the machine is plugged in - it came 70% charged and so far appears to work fine without having to do any recalibration or settings change as in the old days. Oh and it saves £100 vs taking it to Apple!
