Change of pace game that belongs in your collection
No resource gathering, no victory track, no dice... just a clean, no fuss race to cut off your competition and let them languish in the desert! Perfect. Seriously, i love to teach people this game because it roles out so easily...would you put these palm trees together? These are five points. This is your leader. Yeah, that's a camel, alright. Could you separate these camels don't worry you get to play with any color you choose. They are hooked. Then the game just happens. It unfolds logically, with a few rules along the way. On the reverse side of the board there is added night play with a river for extended playability. Plays 2 to 5. I think age 8 and above is appropriate, but not a kiddie game adults will enjoy it. This game is like a starter at a restaurant that is better than the main. Or maybe like the path less taken amoung more dense games. Sorbet to ice cream...I can go on, but I won't. Really, It's a cool change of pace game that belongs in your collection.

Great game!
I've been playing board games for 10+ years now. I play everything from heavy euro (including 18xx) to light and party (i even play classics). This is a lovely game that I'd call medium-weight in terms of concentration & strategy. It's also a bit smaller than many typical boxed games so it's easier to travel around with. The one major drawback is the colour scheme - it can be difficult to see if your eyes aren't those of a falcon's. highly recommend for avid gamers!

Intuitive and easy to learn strategy game
Great and fun strategy game for 2 people. Easy to learn and easy to replay. The box itself isn't huge so it would be a great gift. The design of the pieces are high quality and the instructions are easy to follow. It doesn't take too long to play it. Overall I really liked playing this!

Fun and accessible for pretty much any board gamers!
This is a great version of Through The Desert - nice quality board and pieces, relatively compact, easily readable, and fun for both experienced and novice board gamers. While it looks a bit like Catan, it plays more like Ticket to Ride than anything else that comes to mind. Aside from a minute's confusion about the colors of the riders vs the colors of the camels, the rules are very intuitive and it plays out quickly. We felt like strategy was rewarded but inexperience wasn't punished too harshly. Easy to recommend!
