I purchased this projector for a movie night, but it was an absolute disaster from the start. Not only does it fail to work as advertised, but it’s also a serious safety hazard.The moment I plugged in the projector, I noticed a constant burning plastic smell when it as turned on, that only got worse the longer it was on. On top of that, the first outlet I used sparked, and when I tried a different outlet, the same thing happened. This is beyond unacceptable and raises major concerns about the safety of this device.In terms of functionality, the projector is equally disappointing. It powers on and connects to my phone briefly (about 5 minutes), but when attempting to stream movies or shows, the screen turns black. Installing streaming apps directly onto the projector didn’t help either—while the apps appeared to install correctly, playback was unreliable. Videos either didn’t load at all or took so long that I gave up trying.The one time it did stream a movie, the experience was a nightmare. I couldn’t pause the video because once paused, it wouldn’t play again. Attempting to pause and unpause multiple times made the projector completely unresponsive.To make matters worse, I later found out this same projector is sold on TikTok Shop for only $20, which explains the poor quality. It’s clear this product is a cheap gimmick and not a functional device.Between the burning plastic smell, sparking outlets, and nonfunctional performance, this projector is a waste of money and a potential fire hazard. If you’re looking for a reliable projector, invest in something over $100. Avoid this product at all costs.Attached photo shows the projector failing to stream, even though all settings were correct.
