Product Description American action film in which Pamela Anderson stars as tough, glamorous heroine Barb Wire. In a civil war-torn America in 2017, Barb owns a nightclub called the Hammerhead. In what is regarded as the last free city, she moonlights as a professional killer and bounty hunter. When Barb's acquaintance Dr Corrina Devonshire (Victoria Rowell) shows up at the Hammerhead to seek help, Barb must assist her in escaping to Canada to leak information about the development of a biological weapon, before the government stop her. In a race against time, Barb must acquire a set of hi-tech contact lenses that will help Dr Devonshire to deceive the iris scanners at the airport. However, Barb discovers that the coveted lenses are currently in the hands of a gang of lowlife criminals, and Barb must extract them before they are sold on to the black market. .co.uk Review Remember the old days, when Pamela Anderson was still just a Playboy Playmate turned Baywatch babe? You know--back before the bootleg release of her infamous home video with then-husband and ne'er-do-well rocker Tommy Lee, at which time the whole world got to compare Pam's barely adequate acting chops with her formidable skill at fellatio? Yes, those were the days (1996, to be exact), when a movie like Barb Wire represented dubious progress for the busty blonde, who was determined to make as big a splash on the big-screen as she did in the world's most popular syndicated TV series. Set in the year 2017 when the Second Civil War is in full force, this sci-fi action thriller stars Pam in the title role--a leather-clad biker babe ("don't call me babe," she warns) who runs a nightclub in the last free city in America. The rest of country is controlled by the "Congressional Directorate," a dictatorial superpower which suspects Barb of trafficking in black-market contraband. That gets her into plenty of trouble (and a lot of cleavage-revealing costumes), and ... well, if any of this sounds even vaguely familiar, it's because this comic book-inspired movie is really just a shamelessly breast-enhanced variation on Casablanca, with Pam Anderson in the Bogart role. Taken for what it is, it's a brazen folly with action to spare, and as guilty pleasures go it's surprisingly enjoyable. What--you were expecting Oscar material? --Jeff Shannon

A gender swapped Casablanca for the end of the world
Well, firstly it's definitely a post-apocalyptic movie that fans of Pam (and her assists) would love. Even though critics panned it upon release (what do they know anyway, eh?) Barb Wire is actually a well made movie, with excellent production value and a thoroughly tongue-in-cheek 'comic book' feel (such comic book inspired films are mega-hits in the 2020's, dontcha know!). Made in the 90's, it has a certain timelessness (at least the characters will never age a day). It's corny, it's over-the-top and it's underrated. There's an uncut version that shows a bit more nudity of Pam, but it's missing the 15 minute long 'making of' documentary (the version I bought didn't have it). There's no director's commentary or gag-reel extra content to speak of, only a trailer and cast actors' filmography. Right, so, you've probably heard BW has a striking similarity (story-wise) to Casablanca and watching them side-by-side they're definitely alike. However, Pam is a much prettier bar owner than Bogart (without beer goggles, that is), which is a major plus in my books! Actually, I've been meaning to get this film for years and I'm really kicking myself up the arse (ouch!) for not buying it on dvd when I was still a teenager and being the envy of my school chums who religiously tuned-in and drooled copiously over Pam in Baywatch on the telly. Well dammit!

Just the movie, no extra stuff
I bought this blu-ray as I had a fond memory of this movie as a kid. It has a big boobed fabulous blonde starring, so it wasn't difficult to impress me back then.I did not expect much from the film, you get what you imagine you get when you look at the cover. Pamela Anderson (Lee) in a tight black leather outfit or some other sexy dress parading throughout the movie acting tough. The quotes in here are all bad-ass and some characters are right up there with stereotype designs.I got my dose of wet topless Pamela swinging on a swing and the two second full nudity scene in the middle and enough laughs in the bad acting and ridiculous plot.It is a cult classic. A C-level wanna be future action for the ages. But I was fairly disappointed with the extra material on blu-ray or better say complete lack of it. There is movie, scene selections and subtitles, that's it.Not even trailer, bloopers, behind the scenes, director's commentary. I was expecting a lot more from such 'great' film. But I can not complain because of the price.I recommend it to you, if you are a huge Pamela Anderson fan. But if you want something extra, this is not for you.

Not Bad Thriller
A nice flim with Pamela Anderson looks like she is bulk like a super woman.Pamela Anderson wanted to act really tough in this flim and her role job is to be a secret agent like James Bond.If you like girls who can ride a motorbike and wear a small black leather vest and punish people like the Punisher then this is for you. This is a crime flim with the hotty Pamela Anderson which all the cast here is attractioned to her big breasts but again who wouldn't?

She's a Barb-ie girl.
What's not to like, silly plot, daft acting, ridiculous special effects and to top it all Pamela Anderson trying to act. Wonderful stuff.
