To me the smell is quite light and reminds of a mixture of herbs. It might be due to the aloe vera component inside the gel.

Do you use water with this? Would you cleanse then after wet your face and apply this and wash it off with water or do you just apply it to dry face?

Apply a light coat directly to your dry skin, so do not wet your face prior. Give it about a minute for the fruit enzymes to start working and then rub in a circular motion with your fingers. You will notice balls of dead skin forming under your fingers. When finished rinse your face with warm water.

How often can you use this exfoliant?

Couple times a week. It's very gentle and leaves the skin feeling soft and smooth, not dry or tight.

Are there enough enzymes in this product to reduce scars from acne on the face?

This product is formulated to remove dead skin or exfoliate the skin, but it will not remove or reduce scar tissue.
